Vinyl collector here looking for a white Backspacer if any of you are willing to part with it. I have a lot to trade, setlists, posters, etc., too many to list but if you are looking for something in particular let me know and I will see what I can do. Thx.

    How can you tell if it is a white one without opneing it? Any serial #'s or anything?

    Literally nothing, the packaging is absolutely identical.

    I did too. There is absolutely no way to tell unless you open it up. I am really glad they did it this way becuase people will have to open if they want to make sure.. Also its gonna cause people to be more cautious when they see them on ebay...just imagine wining an auction for a white one and open it up to find a black one>>

    yeah i buy stuff to keep so might as well open it up and enjoy it

    I have one and really like having one because it's rare. But obviously it doesn't sound any different than the black Backspacer anyone can buy in stores now.

    So I'd probably trade it for 2 of these 3 (LO2L, Binaural, Avocado). I don't have those so would be willing to give up one super-rare vinyl in exchange for a pair of kind of rare vinyls.

    I just trusted 10c to send me the white one. I'm not going to open to check if it's white or black. I jsut put a yellow stickie on it to tell the difference from the black one.

    Same here. I think I'll just keep the sticker which was on the package, but I won't open it.

    I bought mine to play it. I opened it, I didn't buy a black one so the white is my only copy. Why buy if not to play? The white cost 5 bucks more so it was a no brainer but keeping vinyl sealed is only to insure resale value later. Vinyl was meant to be played, its not like a rare GI Joe or something you can leave in a box. I never could leave my toys unopened. I'm only 29 though so none of my toys would have been worth anything.

    Actually, I generally play my records, but since I already got a cd and a black vinyl, I'll just keep this one like this. It doesn't mean I'll NEVER open it, maybe I will in twenty years, when the black one is too old to be used. ;)

    My regular and white Backspacers are on my vinyl shelf standing upright next to each other, and I noticed on the spine the White Backspacer printing is shifted down about a half an inch, as compared to the regular Backspacer. Anyone else notice this?

    Just checked mine as they are stored side by side, and yes, you are right. The text is shifted down on the White one
