Against all better judgement I started watching "Sex and the City 2"...in seeking something mindless. I turned it off halfway through. GARBAGE. utter GARBAGE.
Van Helsing was probably the dumbest/worst movie I ever saw in the theater. I wanted to walk out, but I was there with other people, but then it turned out after the movie they had all wanted to walk out too, but nobody wanted to be the one to rock the boat which led to us all sitting through one of the dumbest movies ever made.
I remember telling a friend about the movie a few days later and I was describing the plot, not even going into how dumb I thought it was, just giving a plot synopsis, and he thought I was joking. He stopped me mid-sentence and said "You're fucking kidding me right?".
After that I joined the Dr. Cox "Hugh Jackman Hate Club".
"See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"
I didn't think it was bad, but I didn't think it was THAT great either. I don't really understand the hype it's received over the years. I don't mind strange/quirky movies, but I also think it's kind of lame when a movie tries WAY too hard to be strange and quirky, and really doesn't do much else. As if just being off-beat is enough for it to be funny.

There's just so much gold in that movie (IMO of course)! For whatever reason, the opening scene where he ties that little doll to a string and drags it from the bus always has me laughing hysterically. In my circle of friends, other than Seinfeld it's probably one of the most heavily quoted movies/shows.
Not sure what that really says about me and my friends :?

it's not ground breaking, but also not unwatchable.

kip playing footsie with lahfawnduh had me cracking up the other day
I saw a movie called "Body Shots" once that I swore was the worst movie ever made. Then i saw "Mission to Mars" with Tim Robbins...when that single teardrop rolled down the Martian's cheek, I busted out laughing right there in the theater.
Then there's "Batman and Robin"...I'd say it was bad, but fell asleep halfway through.
And, at the risk of getting a shitload of hate mail, I'm gonna just say it: "Dirty Dancing" is a terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE movie!!!
After watching "World's Greatest Dad" the other night, I'd like to officially add that to my list. Although seeing Krist Novoselic selling porno mags on the street was mildly amusing.

I don't think anybody said their opinion was "right", or at least I didn't.
my opinion is fact.
That goes without saying. There's no arguing with a smoking baby.
