I offered to make you waffles at the hotel! I offered 81 too! but nnnn-ooohohoh waffles aren't good enough. :roll:The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

another side story about Alpine - we stayed at The Cove in Lake Geneva, when we checked in we were amazed to find that we had a suite complete with a full kitchen that had a coffee maker. So off we went to find the Piggly Wiggly and supplies to make morning coffee including sugar (got confectioners sugar by mistake, but no big deal) and milk, etc. So then after Saturday night's show we had to go a bit further into the hotel parking lot to find a space and we see a McDonalds within walking distance and at the same time we both realize - crap, we could have had McD's coffee and egg McMuffins for breakfast! Oh well, the trade off is that we got cheese curds with the coffee supplies and those were good for snacking. But that McD's had a huge line of cars for the drive-thru - at 2:30 am! I guess it was full of PJ fans looking for post-show food.0

there was a Mickey Ds by our hotel in Delavan...we told 81 to meet us at the hotel, and stopped by Mickey's...he called to ask us where we were "ummm in the drive thru..."
the line was fricking loooooooonnnnnnggggg!
oh yeah, that was me answering unlost's phone...I don't think 81 noticed. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

yeah, we were surpised to find the streets of Lake Geneva packed with people at 2:30 am! It is a resort town, so we weren't sure if that was typical, but it did seem like a lot of them were PJ fans. We could tell by the way they walked.0

I would have made you a waffle and packed it in a lunch bag for you along with an apple and a PB&J bagel for later...rick1zoo2 wrote:yeah, we were surpised to find the streets of Lake Geneva packed with people at 2:30 am! do PJ fans walk with 'swagger'?
the peeps working at Mickey's did look a little freaked out that the line was so long...it took them a while to get the food ready. They really should think about looking at the concert schedule and prepare...Mickey D's after the Soundgarden concert in Ephrata had nice hot fresh fries. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

haha, 'swagger'?? maybe it was more like 'stagger'0
