    I'm a pretty big fan of the Binaural mix.

    Ten was the only one I ever thought really needed a "redux" anyway...

    you cant play it loud. For the longest time I thought my speakers were shot

    As do I. I'm sure every album has areas that can be bettered due to the time restrictions they were under at the time. I'm sure each album will go through this for it's re-release.

    I never heard that. I don't believe they even mentioned doing Vs and Vitalogy when they announced Ten. It was a few years ago so I could have forgotten, but I never heard only up to Riot Act.

    Yeah, back in 2009, they said they would be reissuing all up to Riot Act and that Avocado wouldn't be part of it.

    BOB already essentially did re-mix Binaural—other than like 4 tracks after the band first heard it and freaked out. The songs were recorded with a binaural mic so there's not much that can be done in further "remixing". The album is what it is. RA sounds fine to me. I'm not sure if Avocado needs a remix so much as it needs some compression and EQ finagling. It's just a harsh, loud sounding album. The instruments are balanced properly they just don't have the warmth the classic PJ albums have.

    I'd expect the "legacy versions"/box set thing to continue through at least RA thus covering the first 10+ years of the band. Really looking forward to 96-98 though since that's the era when I first got into PJ!

    I don't want Brendan O'Brien anywhere near Binaural - I want the original Tchad Blake mixes represented.

    (Original tracklisting would be good too.)

    I'm not crazy about O'Brien being involved again. I didn't really dig the Ten remix or the glossy sheen on Backspacer, nor was I a fan of his mixes of the Drop in the Park or Orpheum shows (Brett Eliason could have done a much better job of the live material).

    It was said that they would be beginning a reissue program of their catalogue. From memory, nothing was specified about what would be included or excluded.
