  • I guess all those Econ and Communication degrees that they hand out to college athletes don't pay off so well.
  • Holy shit, if it costs $11k per month to have a kid, I'm not interested

I could make it last me the rest of my life...unlike most sports stars, I don't feel the need to make it rain every night with a few magnums of Cristal.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

What are you talking about? I never see any athletes come out of school with econ degrees.

Econ and Comm? Not even close to being in the same category of easy degrees. Comm, yes, econ, not so much.

ok, alcoholic whipped cream may not allow me to make it last the rest of my life....

I'm not making an excuse for this particular person.

This is exactly what you are doing.

You blame the education system, but this is a person who received a full ride scholarship. And surely received loads of prudent financial advise. Come on. Be serious.

And like pjhawks said, the politicians or teachers or whoever aren't the ones turning inner city schools into war zones.

Antoine Walker lost 96 million in less than 10 years. And he lost his wife to Chad Ochocinco. Amazing these idiots don't listen to their financial advisers.

    well...

"Between 1999 and 2002, the NFLPA estimates, 78 players lost a total of $42 million in acts of fraud perpetrated by financial advisers."

I think the easiest way to sum all of this up is - the majority of pro athletes are not smart. They didn't get where they did because they could solve for beta. Why is anyone surprised?
