~Wishlist Winnipeg Pre Party~

OK! Lets start getting a head count here for who will be at the Winnipeg party and show.

The Pre Party is being held across the street from the show venue at a place called 4Play Sports Bar.
A massive sports bar with great food and drinks that can accomodate a crowd.

Charity is Manitoba Mental Health Association.

Lots of good stuff at the party. PJ playing, silent auctions and Wishlist merch available.

We need donations and volunteers. So if you have PJ stuff or hooks ups for cool stuff in Winnipeg please let me know. And if you can attend the whole pre party and lend a hand with selling raffle tickets or manning a table let me know.

    never been to one of these. might be able to make it (depending how early my parents are taking our kids). what goes on at these things?

    Sure you can talk to me about it. What do you have to donate? As of right now we dont have much and need as much as we can get.

    We generally start getting there anytime after 3pm. There are silent auctions for PJ goodies and Wishlist PJ stuff to buy. We play PJ on the sound system and have guestbooks to sign and posters to make. Its a great way to connect with people from the boards. We wear silly name tags with our pit names so we can recognise each other. Some people swap bootlegs. We have food and drinks. People go back and forth from the venue and get thier tickets and posters and merch. Some people who need to sell a ticket or buy a ticket join in on that at get themselves all sorted.

    I can donate a Mike McCready bobble head from the Seattle Mariners game in June.

    I'm trying to buy 2 tickets for the Winnipeg show (I'm coming in from Vancouver). I'll confirm once I've purchased tickets (is anyone selling any?!?) and flights.

    Are you on any of the Facebook Groups for PJ? There are people swapping tix there. Dont know for sure about any for winnipeg but it might be a good place to post a request.

    After talking with the better half, we decided that we'd love to help out at the event.

    Also, after having a solid done for me by 10C I'll be bringing something special to donate in addition to the Vs. LP.

    Wonderful! Donations will never be turned away.

    And the more help we have at the party the better.
    We will be setting up at 3PM sharp at 4Play in WPG. Lots of stuff to lay out on the tables. Raffles to get sorted, guestbook, posters to be made, auctions prizes organized. Someone to keep track of the PJ on the soundssytem. Many jobs for many people.

    I've got an original display for the "Yield" release from a record shop to donate. It's a large cardboard sign, two sided, with some neat graphics on it. Great shape, just a couple of holes from where I hung it on the wall. I could probably come up with something else too.

    Genevieve, myself and Mrs. Coach will be attending. We would also like to donate a bottle of Siduri Pinot Noir (you know...the wine Ed loves to drink on [url=stagehttp://www.winespectator.com/webfeature/show/id/Unfiltered_3071]stagehttp://www.winespectator.com/webfe ... tered_3071[/url] ) for the auction is that's possible? Might have to check with the bar to see if they would allow a bottle from the outside world :lol: I might have another bottle for Saskatoon and well...you already have the one for Edmonton ;) Don't think I can afford anymore after that....sorry Calgary :lol: Unless someone wants to pay for a bottle and I can just bring it down with me?

    Those will be some sought after bottles! If we arent allowed to bring them directly in we can keep them outside and still use them for a prize.

    Glad to have this one! It will be put to good use. Yield stuff is pretty popular.
