  • they're a rock band... they are in charge....they're going to have VIPs and they're going to sit them wherever they want...

    good for them

this lottery produces many, many winners that have no connection to the band ... my wife won once and i'm pretty sure she doesn't know anyone... although i did find a pair of hawaiian underwear in her car once with a note from a guy named Kenny Gaspar... but anyway

Once again this all fine and dandy...But, don't call it totally random....I have never won the lottery...Which, I don't really care.....I have been in the fan club for a long time...So, I am pretty happy with the seats I usually get with my fan club tickets...

how does him winning twice prove that it's not totally random?

What are the chances of the same fan club member winning front row back to back to shows?.....Pretty much in the same general area in the front row.........Wow....He must be really lucky....He should have went and purchased a lottery ticket with that luck...

it HAS to be random...no way they would put a smoking baby in a lottory row....or somebody screwed up when pulling tickets...yeah, that seems more likely

bottom line is there is a chance it could happen... him winning twice doesn't PROVE anything

  • This totall bullshit....If your a current fan club....It shouldn't matter who you are....Everyone should have an equal chance of winning.....But, I could see the 10c doing this...Rewarding the goody tissues...

    Jeremy[/quote]

Some hand picked fan club members get fringe benefits...But, not every fan club gets this.....It should be totally random winners....If you win any row during a tour?...Your name should be marked off the list for that row...

This thread is like opening a can of whoa-mans.
  • I am sure some on here think it is totally random...It isn't.....Don't get me wrong....It is cool that they do the lottery tickets...But, if your going to call it random....At least make it totally random...I know that the 10c picks a certain amount of fans to win the lottery.....That is fine...But, don't call it random...

Sure there is a chance it could happen...But, lets say just for the example....There was 2,200 fan club tickets sold at each of these two shows...That this guy won back to back front row tickets.....So, there is a really slim chance this would happen.....Once again.....Just mark the persons name off the row that he won already during that tour......It will take care of this happening......I know and have meet fans who would do anything to be up front just once.....But, you have fans winnning multiple times.......I try help out fans that have never had great tickets...By, selling them my other tickets.....So, that fan can experince checking out the band close up....

but if your name is marked off... then it's not totally random... as not all eligible parties would be able to partake in the lotto process

thereby, henceforth changing the dynamic of it all so that the paradigm would be shifted away from totally random to almost random but maintaining an exclusionary list of previous winners

    ipso facto

Maybe those fans that would "do anything" to be up front just once need to get a greater perspective on
    life.
and please, can you learn how to properly include quotes in your posts because you are totally
    fucking up the vibe here.

    2200 pairs or 2200 tickets

either way the odds would be roughly 0.1% or 0.5% assuming 75 front row tickets per show.

have you seen the toronto 2 thread where some guy tried to break his own neck going for an eddie pick and some other guy gave it to him but was having second thoughts about being generous

perspective is not common round these parts

    too many goody tissues

  • It still would be totally random....You just only can win the lottery once for each row...During one tour....I am done with this subject...No need to discuss it any further....I know what I seen....I know many others that agree with me...Does, that make me right....No not 100%...But, this is my own opinion...From my obeservations at pj concerts and talking to other fans...

  • I'm willing to bet $100 it is totally random.

If people know band members, they can get band tickets. I have had band tickets. They are great seats. That has nothing to do with the 10 Club, more of a VIP thing. Why would the 10 Club give preference to friends of the band when they can get band tickets if they are friends?

I know band members, I've never won the lottery.

If you know anything about statistics, the fact that someone won the lottery for back to back shows is more of a PROOF that it's random, than proof that it's rigged. Have you ever heard the one about having 23 people in a room, there is a better than 50/50 chance that two of them have the same birthday? Randomness is funny like that.

Stop feeling like it is a conspiracy against you. It is not rigged.

You need to cease and desist with logical posts that make sense as they do not register with
people that bang their heads against walls.
