I know most people don't care about this film being screened in Sweden... but I mean... I would hate to miss it... and was sure Sweden would get screenings when all these small nations get it... but know i got an email from tenclub saying "we can't gaurantee a screening in Sweden, but stay tuned".

So I'm certain Sweden won't get screenings. But still... SLOVENIA gets one but not Sweden?

Sad :/

Yep, don't think there is a problem with Slovenia, or Estonia, or Luxembourgh, or Malta, or El Salvador...
Every country deserves a screening.... well at least every country that has 10c members...

Question is why countries like Sweden and (in my case) Greece don't get a screening?
Maybe local distributors didn't show any interest in the movie... or these countries are not considered "good markets" to promote the PJ20 project?

At least we'll get the DVD, so a private DVD screening with friends and freaks will do the job ;)

Or do as I did (might want to hurry) and write your local cinema-chains (if that's a word) and ask when, how, where, who, why and so forth. Let them know the movie exists, the Danish ones didn't know about the movie until I wrote them.
Have fun, walk hard and stay alive.

In the same boat here... no Greece...
The real bummer for me is that the Athens Film Festival which lasts for a couple of weeks (Sep 20th is amongst those dates) just announced its full programme and PJ20 is absent... I saw the Lemmy documentary there last year, so I was hoping for PJ but no luck
Maybe we should rent a theatre for a night and do a screening with the DVD, eh?

Still we can all complain, but France is huge and they have no screenings yet, but that still gives me hope that there will be more announcements soon...

Good idea, I just phoned and emailed the Athens Film Festival... Can't believe they're showing Bono, Kings of Leon documentaries and not PJ20!!!

10C Please do something for Greece!!!
  • I know some swedish places had interest but was scheduled for the 20th because the PJ camp was to late with annoucing the deal (or something to that extent).

But tried emailing some places, some has said they don't have plans - some haven't answered.

But i can almost gaurantee there will not be screening here. It what, 8 days away?

Travel is not an option with that short notice for a couple of reasons.

Seems to be the PJ way with everything... tours and what not... giving out small pieces of information and not everything at once (like other bands seems to be able to).

But yeah... will settle with the DVD. But would have loved to watch it in a theatre on 2k/4k/35MM.

but Whatever i guess. Sweden gets screwed again, like the last 4 european tours. haha. :)

This is the email I sent to the Athens Film Festival

"Please look at the countries screening this documentary in this link http://www.pj20.com/screenings/ and consider contacting the organizers about showing it.
It is a milestone in music history, and it is directed by Academy Award Winner Cameron Crowe."

This is the answer I got from the Athens Film Festival:

"Thanks a lot, we've already asked for it a few months ago, though - unfortunately - they never got back to us.
    Still waiting though."

  • HAHA! Nice answer. weird though?

That is weird. I was studying in Sweden last year and from what I've experienced, I can say that your movie scene is very rich.

It's so nice for us (Slovenians) not to be left out of PJ map (hopefully this trend can continue when an Euro tour is announced).
