A week after PJ20...
A week ago today thousands upon thousands of us were arriving in Alpine Valley, having an idea of what to expect but having no idea what was truly in store for us. My heart has been reinvigorated for this band, after two decades of unwavering devotion. What an incredible weekend. It was so great to meet so many of you and share such a monumental event.
Does it seem to anyone else like it's only been a few hours, rather than a full week? With all these thick-headed 'Nevar Forget, Y'all!' attitudes around the 10th anniversary of 9/11 rapaciously & superficially sensationalizing the horrible tragedy, I take some solace from the madness in the crystal clear memories I have of last weekend. I look forward to the years of looking back & feeling a sense of exhilaration when I relive these moments.
I spent all week writing a review of the weekend - here it is if you like. Tons of great pics too.

best fucking weekend ever!!....i'm still hung over!
people can bitch about the sound or setlists or their seats or what the fuck ever...
..and if this was a "regular" show i'd be one of them...but this time it was about the fans for me...fellow fanatics coming together from all over the world...I had a better time chilling with my peeps at the pre & in the lot than i did seeing the show, and that was worth the trip alone.0 -
Great job..

Yeah it was the best weekend of my life and the first time i visit the Usa and i most say it was so great to be here and i even hate that tommorow i most fly back..
But i have fantastic memories and do it again in the blink of an eye.
Next year the plan is to go to New York and take the gigs in that area..
Yeah Usa..You and your awesome people....I will be back..

Great Review! Thanks!
I'm physically back home, yet in spirit still alive & lingering in the weekend - not sure if I'll ever fully return.

Just got back from San Francisco after going to PJ20. Let me just say, TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Not only were Pearl Jam fantastic as per usual, Chris was brilliant and the Ten Club members that I met were some of the nicest folks I have ever met.
I met GiventoLukinKP (Kelly) and Dwhite (Don) who were such nice people, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet you guys, thanks for making PJ20 that much more special for us.
I also could have sworn I saw you Appie, near the shuttle bus in Chicago??? Did you take the shuttle??
The vibe there was so great. People were tolerant of one another, as far as I could see, and it seemed like most people knew just how special it was to be there.
Your country was absolutely beautiful guys, thanks so much for sharing it with us Aussie folks and those from all over the world.

Awesome review.
Great weekend and great people.
Sorry I didn't get to scalp that beer from you Appie! I took a picture of my STP band from the lawn with the stage in the foreground and tried to send it to Rob.
The ONLY thing that sucked about the weekend was not getting to attend the pre-party, and not meeting a few peeps I was looking for ward to... Appie, Dimi.
Oh, and the cell service sucked"...would you like some forks?" EV 12-02-060
