My only complaint is why doesnt Alpine Valley have a campground? There is plenty of room. I didnt get out the parking lot until 3:30 am it was a total cluster fuck. The other rant I have is the food an drinks were way over priced above an beyond over priced, $13.00 for a Beer and I think it was like $9.00 for a shitty hot dog. REALLY, get real. Otherwise it was awesome, from the lawn seats to researved seats. I just think it could have been more fun if they had a campground an reasonably priced food an drinks.

Thats My Rant.

P.S thanks to Pearl Jam an The Ten Club for making it memorible weekend.

I think no camping b/c they couldn't get approved

Prices weren't bad, aside from the few reports of price gouging.

  • Food and drink was way high, no doubt. But sometimes you just have to adapt. On Sunday, we hit a Cousins Subs before, got some clear plastic bags to put them in, and brought our own food in with us. Problem solved.

They do have a campground, but for one reason or another, the band/management didn't want there to be camping for PJ20.

You should have seen all the crap that I had in my bag that day. It was jammed packed with goodies!

Also, not all the beer was $13. That was the price for the 24-oz. cans. Draft beer was $10 for 24 ounces or $8 for a 16-ounce cup.

Oh, and if you got a value meal or something, that 24-ouncer was "only" $9.50.

Parking for me was no problem...got out in an hour both nights...attend a nascar race at michigan international speedway and you learn a few tricks...people on here warned people that beer and food was expensive so we brought in our own and empty water bottles and filled them in the 10 club area...I hardly ever buy beer at a concert anyways...I refuse to pay 8-13 for a single beer when I can but 6 for that...

  • 24oz cans are practically 2 beers. I don't think it's as outrageous as people are making out.

Loved the "free" buffet in expo. Was a nice surprise that I don't remember reading about. Soft shell tacos did make me fart like a machine though, but they tasted great.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

after spending $60 on 6 beers (between 2 of us) night one, and having to drink our water right away because they made us throw away the caps...

night 2 we snuck in caps for our water bottles AND 4 beers & 4 mini wine bottles...plus brought food both days!
No time to be void or save up on life...you've got to spend it all.
  • The prices were what I expected because...

    1. Alpine let's you tailgate
    2. Apline allows you to bring in empty water bottles, and food.

They have to recoup the cost somehow, I lived on Pop-Tarts, and granola bars all weekend. Bought a meal each night because I needed something substantial in me before I rocked my ass off.

What a weekend, still not recovered from it.

  • as far as bitching about concession prices, its a fuckin Aramark food service joint. You should expect high dollar concessions when going to any large venue/stadium in the USA. Go to your local bar or club and enjoy $4 beers.

As far as camping, yea the city and more importantly the surrounding farm owners did not want a bunch of losers on their property at night smoking the pot and partying all night.

I think campings has become a thing of the past at that venue. You can thank The Dead for that-

The only thing that ticked me off was the $35 T-shirts and $60 hoodies. I was just relieved that they let us bring food in...

it will be back. East Troy voted last year to allow camping on site. for some reason they choose to not use it this summer
