In all the years and Pearl Jam shows I've attended I've never been emotional. However, Eddie's commentary prior to the song he wrote choked me up. When he talked about everyone around the world coming together for the music was amazing. And then for him to sing/play a song for us that he just wrote was a moment I'll never forget. I think we were all so lucky to be a part of that....
It was truly a special moment...in my eyes.

Eddie Vedder - When It All Got Good
    For Every 100 years
There are 50 years of darkness

    And the last 25
it had our share of shocking

    All the successive days
when the sun shined only on the top of the clouds

    All the oppressive days
    feeling lonely in a crowd

    Couldn't have told me
    Oh, back then
That we would someday feel (loved?)

To be so in Love with life
As deeply as we are now

    Never thought we would
    Never thought we could

    I'm glad we made it
Oh, I'm sooo glad we made it
    So glad we made it
'til when it all got good

    Never thought we would
    Never thought we could

    I'm glad we made it
Oh, I'm sooo glad we made it
    So glad we made it
'til when it all got good

yeah i agree. i gotta admit i got a little teared up on that one. it was hard to not be moved by what was said and by the song itself. it was just a special event and i was there with my best friend who i had had some ups and downs with over the years, and the making it until it got good part really moved me.
