we waited quite a while, now we are back at hotel. apparently Lake Geneva is a hopping place, people are still out and about - the McDonald's drive-thru still open!!

So it's almost 4 a.m. and yes, dear reader, 81 is indeed in my hotel room.

    We have shared a pillow.

    Holy crap! It's a 10c scandal!

Okay, in all honesty, Mr. and Mrs. RCKNDY are here to, 81's on the pullout with a pillow he took from my bed. If he snores, I'm going to smother him with it.

Oh, and somebody clogged the toilet. I told RCKNDY she shouldn't have had that second chicken sausage.

    I'm just saying'.

I can't believe we're doing this again tomorrow night.

    Great thread

    enjoying reading it thank you!

    and

    update from Jonesboro Ga

A little miracle sent my way yesterday

feeling abnormally blue due to too much of life's crapola

we were out and about early Saturday morning
and came upon the random sighting of cows!

    Not just cows!

but four playful babies who bucked and galloped amongst each other
and around their watchful Mamas. 8-)

This a very rare sighting in our neighborhood ...
'aw shaw baby moo moos' !!

it felt like home :D love you Wisconsin forever and ever

Enjoy a sunny day everyone! It will be green....

    Life will be GOOD! :D

Woke up to find a smoking baby on the pull out couch.

And now he's in the shower. That means he's naked.

Had breakfast, heading out momentarily to return to Alpine. We're determined today to see more opening acts and the PJ museum.

Our consensus is that last night was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we'll never forget. Great setlist, loved how happy the band seemed and all the special surprises.

Also, the partickredeyes / Speedy tailgate was a blast. Met jammers from a Texas, Arkansas, Canada, Mexico... Unbelievable. It was pouring at times and the mud was ankle-deep in places, and I wouldn't change a thing.

Patrick's pickles were quite yummy. That is one talented fellow.

And my buddy CloneofaSon had a very happy birthday indeed.

We sat with the coolest people, a couple from Texas originally from Arkansas and Louisiana, they were as enraptures as we were. Those random PJ connections are what make these shows for me.

I can't believe we get to do this again!

Okay boys and girls, it's been a very long day and I am tucked into my hotel room bed with RCKNDY and Mr. RCKNDY in the other bed... He's sleeping, she's posting. She's trying to catch up to me again. :P

Tonight there are no smoking babies in this room. Of course, it's always possible that he's hiding under the bed, one never knows what 81 might do.

Wow. What a day. Dawned sunny and cooler, maybe 70s, air dry. Ideal festival weather. We all shuffled down to breakfast, bleary but ready for more. The hotel has a waffle maker, which was quite exciting, but I did not partake as I imagined scenarios involving hot waffle batter injuries. So I stuck with an English muffin.

We got to Alpine around noon. Or it might have been 2, I really have no idea. We saw more cows on the way in, I believe they were the same cows, although they did not appear to have moved around much since yesterday.

Parked, split up as the RCKNDYS and afroannnie wanted to see the early bands, and I was interested in the tailgating. Found myself in the bus / RV area with RyeZupSF and learned my first new thing of the day: I asked ryeZupSF if she chose her username because of a fondness for flavorful bread. She did not. She chose it because rye is also a whiskey and there is a story about her family and nicknames that I know I enjoyed at the time, but I do not fully remember at this moment.

I should mention that she was very kind and patient in explaining this to me. RCKNDY, who is planning to post a n observation of the various things I learned this weekend, will likely be less kind, but still funny. (I learned quite a bit.)

At the tailgate I signed flags from Mexico and from Ireland, declined to bare my breasts in order to receive a free t-shirt, observed several games of corn hole, danced to Crazy Mary with Speedy, and drank a series of delicious beers.

    Must stop now. Exhausted.

    Dammit, RCKNDY's still posting. :x

Yes, I shall keep posting as Mr. RKCNDY is sawing wood at the moment.
I cannot really speak of the new things I taught unlisted as I would not like my account to become 'read only'

I did not meet as many people as I would have liked, but feel honored to have finally met sink, speedy, smoking baby, BD, thrills, chime, comebackgirl, and so many more! I would love to do this again, especially the tailgate and pre-party.

Must try to get some sleep, since Thursday morning about 5 am, I have had appx. 15 hours of sleep. :?

She just fell asleep. (is it weird that she posted that when she was literally 3 feet away from me?) :?

Here's the big thing to thank the band for: creating a world in which I get to know someone like RCKNDY!!!!

More when I've had a chance to close my eyes...
