I blame the Ten Club for not giving me 9 months warning. :D
Anyways, I've read through all the topics the past few months and there seems to be a lot of members with pregnancies which prevented them from going to the shows. I'm wondering which birth is closest to PJ20.

I always thought that PJ20 was a bit strange. Isn't 25 the more significant aniversary? :D

Agreed, but given that I'm taking my sons to the show, I ain't arguing with the selected milestone! Yeah, PJ25 might be the show for you and your girls! Can you say "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?"
  • My daughter is 2 months old today, so I as well am not attending. My wife did sit fifth row at Ed's solo show in Philly six days before giving birth! And we named her Harper, in part an homage to Ed, in lieu of attending this weekend. But I was thinking about the shows today on my drive to work, I wanted to drive right through Philly and not stop until Alpine!

We had a similiar situation. My wife scored second row center tickets to Ed in Hartford and she was roughly 7 months pregnant. That's going to have to be all for me this year.

Said this in another thread, but in case they don't broadcast for all you fine folks who cannot join us this weekend: check out 102.1 Independent Alternative Radio on line. I heard the other day they'll be playing both night's shows beginning at 11 pm Central. Obviously not live...guessing that gives them time to "radio edit."

Been there & done that...figured a late-night feeding w/some live PJ20 would be a great bonding moment. Enjoy! I'll be there with my sons aged 11 & 9...only wish I had live PJ during their feedings!
  • Man, I would have totally done a road trip to PJ20, would have been "epic"...had it not been for the fact that my fiance is 36 weeks pregnant right now.
If it weren't for the fact that the boys are coming to Toronto for 2 shows, I might have had to risk it anyway. Settling for those 2 shows instead of an unforgettable weekend adventure will just have to do ;)

Oh, and then there's PearlJamTwenty the week after...hopefully she can hold out 'til then!
So at least I get a great fill of Pearl Jam! Still though...

that's the one I'm going to for sure!! I hate that I'm missing this one, but then I think of all those still out of work and I'm happier knowing that I at least have a job.
  • Congratulations... Having a child can in no way be compared to a rock concert... Enjoy they journey... ;)
