“Damien! I finally GET to hug you!”
For 17 years, I have only seen Damien Echols—gaunt, pale, always behind thick glass—in an Arkansas supermax prison. Our voices—his always quiet—crossed through a metal grille. Yet here he is on a mid-August evening, in the flesh, atop a luxurious hotel in Memphis, where Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has orchestrated an impromptu party. A few dozen people—attorneys and longtime supporters—have gathered to celebrate the first taste of freedom for the men known as the West Memphis Three.

Careful, board police enforce the no naughty talk about band friends.

How beautiful would that have sounded if you just got out of life imprisonment/death row that day?Another habit says it's in love with you
Another habit says its long overdue
Another habit like an unwanted friend

I am a strong supporter of these men and thier fight for Exoneration continues.
Freedom for 3, Now JUSTICE for 6!!
Despite what Arkansas officials have claimed, this case is not closed, In fact, A real investigation into the original murders was never even done. If you have heard of Eddies Involvement in this case you won't be surprised to hear that Damien Echols described his friendship with Eddie & how over the years he has been apart of the driving force that has resulted in thier freedom.
I don't have to tell you that Eddie Vedder Rocks...you already know this
The fight for justice has been long and a very special thing to be apart of. The details of the case are well documented & being a HUGE supporter I would suggest you read all you can & form your own opinions. The details of this case are astonishing and every supporter has felt affected enough by what they've seen to actually ACT!! Imagine that... it's a special thing to be apart of and Expect to hear many more things ofthe Peoples campaign for Justice for 6...
We are demanding Total Exoneration of these men, Full investigation into the murders and the Corruption & Negligence of the West memphis police Depatment, The Malpractices ofthe Arkansas Judicial system & the Arkansas Supreme court, who ignored the pleas for appeal, and were unwilling to object, in fear of opening a monumnetally sized can of worms ..
I Love this photo too, thanks for posting, thats what I'd originally meant to say before i started to rant about the cause.
Thank you Eddie wherever you are, Especially for your collaborative work with Damien. Army Reserve is my favourite song Oh if your interested check out - wm3.orgSometimes I speak of nothing at all.0 -

The WM3 entered Alford pleas, which is different from admitting guilt. They maintained their innocence while playing along and pretending that the defense had enough evidence to convict(they didn't). The prosecutor even admitted that he thought the WM3 would be aquitted if it went to trial again(they would have).
This plea deal was designed to make everybody happy. The prosecution got to pat themselves on the back and act like they "won" the case, and the WM3 got to walk out of jail, while maintaining their innocence.
What some people don't realise is that all of this started(Alford plea/WM3 getting out of jail) because new DNA testing done this past summer cleared the WM3. There was no DNA belonging to any of them at the crime scene. The prosecution knew they had no case. And because of the growing support and the large sums of money being thrown at the defense, it was clear to the prosecutors that this case wasn't going to go away, so they basically settled.
One of the other "deals" is that the WM3 cannot sue for wrongful imprisonment. The state was covering it's ass. Look at how much 1 person gets - imagine how much all 3 of them would have gotten!Another habit says it's in love with you
Another habit says its long overdue
Another habit like an unwanted friend

What does WM3 have to do with Pearl Jam's music? AMT seems like a better forum for this topic, no?0
