    His contract is up this year, sure he knows that but he has a whole lot more control than he did. I know you have to take it with a grain if salt but he said he has no interest and wants to stay, which was the first time he said it this year.

    Why would he leave a great thing for a complete disaster?

    Like olney's article says, the cubs have the resources to win. It's not like he'd be going somewhere that won't spend any money. And I think that a job like the cubs, where he would be a hero in the city forever if they ever won it all...would be somewhat appealing. Now he is expected win every year. It's kinda like he gets criticized if they don't win, but there isn't much praise if they do win (because they're expected to every year). I'm sure that has to get old.

    At least here is some meaningful baseball on the pacakge tonight with LA and Texas. Now lets just see if I can get the girl to watch it.

    I don't have the package up in philly. that game is on MLB Network though.

    Nice, HD. Will probably be flicking around. Not sure I can get the lady to watch an entire random baseball game while stuck inside during a hurricane.
