It's a Shame About Ray is such a classic album. I know it by heart. Don't know why I haven't checked out more of their songs.

Great, now I miss the early 90's. :|

Ok saw their show tonight in philly. Late show suppose to start at 9 with 2 opening bands. Dhow actually started about 10. After the first two bands ended Lemonheads went on around 11:45 and played until after 1AM. I only knew a handful of songs  . I never had It's a shame about ray and only knew their singles. It was still cool to hear live. Song i liked a lot was "Bit Part" (I think it was that, it came before Alison starting to happen). After they played the album the band left the stage and Evan did some solo stuff, then the band cam back on and played about 5 or so songs. I read somewhere that they stopped playing Mrs. Robinson live and so wasn't surprised when I didn't hear it. Thought however they would have played Into Your Arms, but they didn't play that either :(

i recorded evan's solo acoustic show in st louis back in feb 2010. i used a little flip camera and it came out great. unfortunately i ran out of battery and i missed him flake out at the end... he was fucked up, eyes as big as saucers, he did not move and stood there in a big thick winter coat the whole entire show. i was going to post what i have on youtube but never got around to it. maybe i will now.

when he is on, he is one of the greatest solo acoustic performers i have ever seen. i would put him up there in the same league as ed when he plays solo. but when he is off he is a trainwreck. you never know what you are gonna get with evan. i would have liked to have seen the mini tour he did with juliana hatfield last year. there are some great youtube videos of those shows.

as far as the op, i don't have any of the old b-sides stuff, but most of those are on youtube.

i took some video of the show with my iphone, which kinda takes better audio than my digital camera. My digital camera the audio is bad if i'm near a speaker or the show is loud. He looked ok, i guess. He drank some then as soon as the show ended he jetted off stage (maybe to the bar or just to get out. He had on an Iron Maiden shirt

you got some pretty good pics and video. you can tell it's the lemonheads because it is just evan and a new lineup this tour lol..there have been what, 30 lemonheads over the years? it looks like josh lattanzi for the new york band "the candles" on bass this tour.

he has been known to rock that maiden tee over the years.

that first video is the song "style" from come on feel the lemonheads. its a good rocking tune..

here is a video that i took in feb 2010. i tried to upload more to facebook but it took forever and failed to upload...

i saw the lemonheads last sunday at the bowery ballroom. I was so very looking forward to hear them do 'its a shame...' cause its one of my fave albums. So anyways... Evan comes on an hour late, which as anyone who knows me can attest, is not a good move with me... And then he proceeds to tell us he cant play cause hes got a bad throat. THEN he plays some sings to 'prove' his voice is shot. It was clear to us that a sore throat wasnt evans problem... The guy was off his tree. I was so pissed off with him i went downstairs for a couple of drinks and only resurfaced when i heard the band take the stage.
Funny thing ws despite the continuing bullshit that went on that night, when they were actually playing, they were good,
Did i get its a smae...'? No i didnt.
    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say

Sorry to hear. I thought Evan had gotten off of the junk. I saw him about five years ago now, just him and another guitarist at a small venue here in Houston. I'm not joking when I say there were probably only fifty paying fans in the joint. Needless to say, he wasn't very enthusiastic. But he did seem sober. It's a real shame, because when he's on the top of his game he puts on a great show. I saw the Lemonheads in Germany in like 1994 and it might have been my favorite concert experience. And Superchunk opened, who were also great.
