no one's trying to one up anybody. I'm still waiting for you to answer my questions. I don't expect an answer any time soon.

I'm not here baiting you. I honestly want to know why people think Obama is doing a poor job. How could he have done it better? I don't know how anyone could have, personally, but I don't claim to know everything.

The thing is, as someone else said, no one leader is to blame for everything. If the slate was clean after every new president took office, then fine, blame them, but there's shit that every president has had to clean up, including Bush Jr. This economic bomb has been brewing for decades. What would McCain have done in this situation? Would he have not bailed out wall street? Would he have let the US default on its debts? Would he still be in Iraq? Would he still be in Afganistan? Would he have killed Osama if he had the chance too?

I think it's important to look at what COULD have been done differently when judging someone's actions. For example, when looking at the aftermath of 9/11, everyone (myself included) lambasted the Bush/Cheny regime for inciting fear and hate and starting a false war. But it's important to think....."what would Kerry or Gore have done in their place?", or even better "what COULD they have done?". Maybe nothing different. I don't know.

All I'm looking for is honest answers to these questions, as I've stated here so many times before, I'm not here to bicker, I'm here for an exchange of adult ideas. But just plainly saying "Bush sucks" or "obama's a pussy" doesn't cut it with me.

I believe he really wanted to stop the war but soon as he was elected he stepped right into the wolf's den and got eaten up due to his lack of experiance in ploitics with the heavey hitters..in my opinion he had no idea what he was getting into..well every time I watch the news that's what it looks like to me,I also don't like some of the idea's he has like allowing citizenship to all the or most of the imagrents here illegally now, I don't like the idea of raising taxes. theres more but I gatta get back to work

your point is a fair one, that he spends too much time trying to be bi-partisan. I hope he's learning that he's going to get nothing done that way. is that way ideal? of course it is. but he's proving to the nation that politics don't work that way. you can't try to work with the opposition. you have to do you what you can do achieve what you wanted to, regardless of bipartisanship.

it sucks, but it's the reality. the republicans have done nothing but try to derail everything he has tried to do in favour of making him look bad. Am I saying that dems wouldn't have done the same thing if McCain was in office? nope. I'm just saying it's a shame that's what happens.
