Sirius XM Pearl Jam Radio Contest??

So Sirius is giving away 2 tickets to PJ20 in Wisconsin to attend the Pearl Jam 20 Destination Weekend concerts and two invites to a special post-concert reception in Toronto plus attend both the concerts at the ACC... But this contest is NOT open to Canadian residents? Whats up with that!?! Part of the giveaway is in Canada. I've been with Sirius since the beginning. I have 4 systems.I would like a chance to score the tickets, and so would other Canadians. Especially since I can not purchase any backstage passes or passes for the post-concert party! And if anyone knows how I can, please let me know. It's kind of a tick-off. I've already got tickets for their Sept 11th show, but would definately like a chance to get them passes! I'll pay for them.

    There was some discussion about this on the Howard Stern show last month. I don't remember the exact details but it has to with The contest laws in Canada having more legal restrictions.

    Gotta love these "exclusive to USA" " USA Only" "can't be viewed outside of USA" jams. It's BS!!! I've never seen any Pearl Jam "exclusive to Canada" "Canada Only" "can't be viewed outside of Canada" contests or offers. The last Pearl Jam contest that I can remember that was exclusive to Canada contest for a Pearl Jam show was for Phoenix '98 which was offered by HMV Canada.

    It's messed up but not as messed up as MuchMusic contest giveaways that were offered up for many year's. Quebec residents were never aloud to be entered in their contests (not sure if they are still excluded today). Never knew why that was. :?

    I suppose it has to do with legal/tax reasons. As an above poster said, Canada might have extra legal restrictions.

    As an aside, when is the give away?

    It's not Pearl Jam's contest. They don't dictate the terms of it. It's Sirius/XM's contest. Your issue is with Sirius/XM.
