What's your favorite European show? I'd have to say Lisbon 6-23-00. The setlist was perfect. The band was so tight and the crowd was unbelievable! If you haven't checked out this show, I very highly recomend it!

London 2009 is by far the best one i have seen here only seen 3 others Reading Festival & Hyde Park. The set list was killer & Mike made a comment on BBC saying it was show that will stay with him for long time. I had lost my voice a few days earlier & when Release opened the show i knew it was going to be special.

Dunno about ever, but I'm gonna say Berlin 09 was better than Berlin 10 just because I can't remember 10 at all, whereas 09 is blurry.

I do have this one & it is a good one & i suppose one thing that made it special would have been right in the middle of the town square. The montage of Europe in TB2000 do show how special it looked. I would love to see a show outdoors again but not a festival.

Dusseldorf 07 has to be up there. Wish they would release an official bootleg for that show!!

Berlin 06 will always be close to my heart.

Also London 09 and Belfast 10 would be contenders!

If that is the truth then you completely wasted an amazing Pearl Jam experience. I have never understood people who get so wrecked at concerts that they can't even remember them. But to each his own I guess...

In all seriousness, my favourite is still London Astoria 06, for many reasons. PJ's return to Europe, it was one hell of a special and privileged night to be at.

Ljubljana 19.06.2000 - my first PJ show!

The event actually starts a few hours before the concert, with PJ and crew members playing table tennis right outside Tivoli Arena. The crowd is cheering, clearly amused by Ed's entertaining play.
This scene will be included in a PJ20 movie! :D At show time, the crowd is great, clearly hungry for PJ who are in Slovenia for the first time. Some crowd surfing, one fight, three girls falling unconscious due to lack of air, but overall none of this drew PJ's attention who are focused on the music. Before 'NAIS,' Ed announced, "... here is a sad song for you ... I guess it's just right after that loss," referring to Slovenia's 1-0 loss to Spain the night before. At the second encore, Ed appears along with something covered by a white cloth, teasing "anyone know what this is? No one?" He uncovers a tambourine and continues, "A friend of ours just graduated from college and it's a big thing for her ... it's a big thing for anybody ... so here is our graduation present for her." He asks the crowd for silence, starts 'Soon Forget,' stops, motions with his finger to his mouth, and continues again, messing up the lyrics in the second verse but the audience loves it. 'Porch' and 'Indifference' make their 2000 tour debut!

Eh, I had fun. In particular, the circle pit slam dancing to.... STBC? Never had something like that before. Peeps coming up to me at the preparty for the next show, having a laugh over the blurry fun that was Dusseldorf. So long as everyone enjoyed themselves!

Main thing is I always have fun (except Manchester, from being repeatedly kicked in the head), never overthinking things, that these are meant to be anything other than a bunch of gigs. As amazing as a show can be, it's still just a show. Except of course if I'm called on again to take part in some stunt, but I'm really not hanging out for more of that.

Great times hanging out with touring mates, before the shows, during the shows, after the shows. That's the big one for me.
