Half the time I feel like Ed is just screaming gibberish into the microphone when he sings Lukin. I love hearing it live, gives me the giggles

    This is my favourite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDQ4hQ5S ... ure=fvwrel

Love the look on Mike's face the whole time, then the burst of laughter at the end.

For some reason this link can't be shown for European viewers. is there also another link? Or concert date? Would love to see this one...

And for a non-native speaker, could someone explain to me how "I know life is way" (or something like that), makes more sense than the original lyrics?

It's off the Immagine in a Cornice DVD so you may have seen it already. I want to say it's Verona, Mike and Ed were just walking around the top row of the concert venue, and old outdoor arena, and sat down to jam on their acoustic guitars.

Aaahhhh, I know that one... I will put my DVD on in a second. I never listened to the lyrics to be honest in this version. I'm quite curious now.

It's "Now I know life his way" according to some of us here. But I believe it's "Now I know life is worth".

Listen to the Benny Hall version from 03. That version is about 99% right, but I think it's still messed up...not entirely sure though.

(The Benny Hall starts with "walk down", but it appears to mostly match the one found at www.lukin.com )

Drive down the street can't find the keys to my own fucking home.
I'll take a walk so I could curse my ass for being dumb.
I'll make a right, after the arches, stinking grease and bone.
Stopped at the supermarket people stare like I'm a dog.

    I'm going to Lukin's.
    I've got a spot at Lukin's.
I knocked the door at Lukin's.
Open the fridge. Now I know life is worth.

I found the key but I return to find an open door.

I find my wife, I call the cops, this days work's never done.
The last I heard that freak was purchasing a fucking gun.

    It's "life is worth."

Pretty sure it says so in Ed's own handwriting in the No Code liner notes. Although I can't for the life of me locate my copy ... which has started an all-out search at my house.

Ok, but what does "now I know life his way" mean. I am no grammer teacher, not even a native speaker, but this line still doesn't seem to make sense...

Now, I know how it feels to be a stalker or be followed by a stalker maybe? I think you have to ask CJMST3K. It was his idea.

My take on that is now that he knows life lukin's way. He has an understanding of lukins life.

"open the fridge, now I know life his way"

I have heard it said that you can tell the type of person by what they have in their fridge, so this could make sense.

But what the HELL is in his FRIDGE!?!?!?

i thought i read in an interview somewhere that matt lukin was a really good cook, and his fridge was always stocked w really good food
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

I think it's 'now I know life is worth' as in life is worth living even when you have a psycho stalker... a fully stocked fridge, helping yourself to your mate's fridge... etc....

I never knew who/what 'lukin' was. I always figured it was a bar in Seattle or something like that he could go to & escape.

After what sounds like a hectic and slightly shit day he pops round to Lukin's, opens the fridge, grabs a beer and sits down for a relax with his buddy... Now he knows (what) life is worth. Even if it might be "life his way" it's the same meaning for me and Matt Lukin basically says the same thing mentioning himself not letting Ed be a "Rockstar".

This much speculation about a minute long song!!! Can't wait for the "Aye Davanita" episode... ;)
