If it happens... I hope that it is a week before (August 27)... announced that day and tickets go on sale that day... one ticket per person... once you pay, you get shoved in the door... no ins and outs means no scalping. Foo Fighter style. Only the ones who do what it takes to get there... get in.
This way... the locals get a shot... not all of us foriegners that will be swarming in from every direction. If you happen to live in Milwaukee... you should get the shot, not a guy like me, flying in from Los Angeles or other Ports o Call.
If only 37 people show up and get in... GREAT. It's a rehearsal gig, not a Pearl Jam money maker. I hope they play for 3 hours and take requests from the peanut gallery. They will have a story that will live with them forever.

I'm hoping for Seattle, but it does seem like the midwest would be more realistic. Maybe another Easy Street show?

    i already have my ticket.

they sent an email asking the locals if we were interested and if you were, you got a free ticket....

    can't wait.

i'd tell you were and when, but i'm not going to be the one to create a cluster outside the theater.

sorry for those that didn't get an email.

The Vic seats 1000-1400, so we are probably looking at 500-700 lucky people with a confirmation email should this happen....Good luck...did they do a lottery last time or was it the classic F5 till you drop?

Why is everyone convinced it would be at The Vic again?

I am hopeful for a show at the Metro, or even better... LINCOLN HALL!!!

So IF the show is 9/1... presale is probably going to be around the 25th w/ the announcement maybe the 22nd/23rd?

I bet tons of venues are open so there's no easy way to guess where they might play.

But the Foo Fighters did do it right over the weekend - you check in and are ushered in immediately. While people WERE selling their second ticket, at least this helped a tiny bit to avoid even more scalping... no way to perfectly cut it out when you can buy pairs.

I want some white castle now...

From what I understand, the 2007 warm up show was not supposed to be at the Vic. Initially it was supposed to be held at the Chicago Theatre and it was moved at the last minute because of some constriction at the Chicago Theatre. I would hope that a warm up show this year (if it does happen) would be at a venue larger than the Vic ...

I would love to have an excuse to make another PJ trip to Chicago :)

Chicago Theater would be great... could still sellout through the 10C, but can fit a lot more people which is good for everyone!

I think if they did a warmup show it would be a secret show. Sort of like when Soundgarden played at the showbox last year under a different name

Time for a Honking Seals reunion!
everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do

then you are talking just a regular small show.

i think a place that holds less than 2k would be cool...assuming i could get in.

The chances of geting tickets are slim to none LOL. Better chance of winning powerball or becoming president

That's the ultimate gamble, right? If you get in its pure bliss, but if you don't its pure agony..

I got lucky on the Vic - 4 hours of refreshing and I got one of the pairs that opened up long after most people gave up... but those 4 hours felt like the worst four hours... just pure insanity.

But I'd take a show and a chance over no show and no chance - even if I may regret thinking that later!!

If this were to happen, it would be great. But wouldnt the ticket sale be just like the PJ20 disaster again??? I doubt they would have a new ticketing system in place by the time tickets would need to go on sale. If they actually do a warmup show, I hope they would just have a lottery for who gets tickets to avoid hours of frustration again.
