Is there a PJ song in particular that gets you choked up? I still can't listen to Army Reserve without feeling it. Just now, on my way home from work I was playing it while driving alone and it just moved me to tears- AGAIN.

Black. When it gets to "I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a star.. In somebody else's sky but why, why, can't it be mine..."

    Every time.

    The End
Record came out as my dad was winding down with cancer. Made me think of him then and still does.
That being the case I love listening to it because it makes me think of him!

I had to take The End off of my iPod because I can't listen to it anymore, it's just too sad.

The lyrics are crazy close to home for me too, my Dad passed a year before that from cancer

I remember listening for the 1st time and being floored. It was weird, but cathartic

I played Long Road at my Mom's funeral. When Ed played it at the second Benaroya show, I cried.

Also, Man of the Hour. When picking songs for my Mom, I got to thinking about what would happen when my Dad dies. Obviously, this song. We almost lost him this year.

There are many, but my latest is Eddie Vedder with Glen Hansard, Falling Slowly. I know it is Glen's song, but with Eddie on it, goosebumps were the highest they have ever been. Simply a beautiful song.

Yeah, how is it that EV's vocals just have a way of pervading the human soul?

Man of the Hour. really delves into the father-son relationship. i was 20 when my dad passed away so the lyrics dealing with the differences of the old vs. the young in this song really hit home to me. blew me away 1st time i heard it and still does.
