T-Shirts shrinking

Don't you hate it when you favorite T-shirts shrink? What happens to me is that all of my band t-shirts get washed and then when I don't know somebody is doing laundry and sticks it into the dryer instead of hanging it to dry. And then they fit "Just right" and are not as comfortable to wear....I hate it!!!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil:

    Sadly I've had this happen to me too. Took me quite a while to get the hubby trained to hang all of my clothes ;) :? :lol:

    i hang all my t-shirts after washing. i do not trust others with my laundry. before i learned that t-shirts shrink like a son of a gun, i ruined many a shirt. i've got a badass heavy thick Carhart work sweatshirt that was about $60.00 or $70.00 bucks, washed it, dried it, that thing shrunk more than you can imagine. not cool.

    i wash all my grateful dead t-shirts inside out and then hang them up to dry.
    dryers are actually a bullshit deal.

    im good with hanging my shit up.
    also, im not good at changing dial settings very well
    i would destroy the dryer in short order if i started changing settings
    knobs would get broken in half

    Apparently the heat of the dryer has nothing to do with the shrinkage, it's the tumbling action - apparently it removes moisture from fabric and causes the shrinkage.
