Disgusting and so wrong.
These mums should hang their heads in shame.
What a sick society, very sad.

    Tots in Tiaras is awful
I saw it for the first time this past week and it is like watching a train wreck...i couldn't believe what i was seeing but just couldn't turn it off either
One Mom in particular shows so much open disappointment and downright disdain for her daughter when she doesn't "do well"
    OMG so sickening
Poor kids. How are they ever going to be well-adjusted "normal" adults when this is what they are taught to believe that this is what they "should" be?
When a parent, or anyone, expects a small child to live up to their own twisted vision of "perfect" what good can come of that?
A whole new generation of depression and anorexia in the making

This is very dangerous for a child on so many levels.

And provides great entertainment for the predators.
Which should discourage a responsible parent.

Perhaps a child's advocacy group will step in and challenge this practice,
should be against a child's rights to have to look and perform as an adult.

oh and i just love the part where the parents advertise what "they" will do with the child's winnings

example in the ad for the next show:

"Daddy's getting a new lift on his truck"

    Unbelievable

Its bad enough to subject a child to this

but then to take the money that could and should be saved for the child's education and well-being (read: therapy)

just too too over the top
    peace,

This is so horrible - its like child abuse to me.

I hate seeing little girls with tons of make up, hair all done up and dressed like grown women - its just wrong .... :(

What makes it even worse is these parents are so self justifying, and smug there is no reaching them.

Maybe some sort of program boycott would take the media attention from it, cancel the show etc..,

It is insane, I disagree with it on almost every level. Also, I hate the "it's for scholarships" bullshit line. They spend WAAAYYYY more money competing in these pageants than they could possibly ever win. Another thing I've noticed (and there is no way of saying this without being mean), but none of the moms are ever attractive. It's so obvious they are living vicariously through their daughters.

@ Stillhere, I heard that too about daddy's lift. That was probably the second time for me to ever even watch that show. I think that is the same episode where they were competing with the older girls for $10,000 and a very attractive young lady won and some of the mom's (again none of them attractive or probably even at a healthy weight) made the comment that she should spend the winnings and do something about here cellulite. Sickening to see how low some people will go.
    Hearts and thoughts they fade....
    fade away...

I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.

To each their own but I don't need anyone to tell me that my daughter is the most beautiful baby, I already know that and so should every mother. ;)
