    Big D.
    Pretty self-explanatory.

Right now you could call it Hell's Kitchen or something since we are working on day 28 in a row of 100 plus.
Just to the west of Big D is Cowtown.
Also a very old nickname is Panther City.

My nearest big city is Sacramento which is often referred to as "River City", which is nice. :)
But my nearest small city is Placerville which is also known as "Hangtown" (yes, as in hung by the neck) which totally sucks! What a lovely thing to be know for, huh? :(

  • Winnipeg:

-Winterpeg (so fuckin' cold here in winter)
    -The Peg
-Winnerpeg (when our teams would win)
-Loserpeg (I believe coined by Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan during one of his many interviews about coming here)

    Winnipeg, incidentally, means "Muddy Waters".

Winnipeg is also referred to that as well, since we are at the fork of two big rivers, Assiniboine and Red, a trading meeting place of old.
