I dont see that happening...DewieCox wrote:I think the cage is gonna be more problematic than anything. The hardcore PJ fans are gonna enter early anyway. I think outsiders will be more intrigued by the "cage" and when they remove it, it's gonna be notice for assholes to push their way forward.
Maybe I am wrong....
But I just dont see that happening......Take me piece by piece.....

No problems at all........................................................

Seriously I dont think there will be any problems....
The only people who would cause problems, because they NEED to sit as close as possible to the stage, so they can keep up their imaginary relationship with Eddie Vedder....Have already spent the last 2 months, scratching and clawing their way into seats....Ya know what I mean??
yup
which will hopefully make the lawn even more fun...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0 -
Personally I have never had a great time watching a show from the front of the lawn. All the good lawn experiences I have had have been in the back. Plus, I like to move around when watching a show from the lawn. The idea of having to stake out a spot early and fight to hold onto it is not very appealing.___________________________________________

How many lawn seats were sold through the 10club???
The lawn holds what?? 15-20K???? More????
I dont see a mad rush, once the cage is taken down....
So some people can get 20-30 feet closer to the stage....
I just dont see it......Take me piece by piece.....

I'll be there on Saturday. Dunno what time. I guess if I get there too late and there's no room to spread out a blanket, I'll grab a spot further up the lawn. There's a chance a couple friends will be joining us with non-wristband lawn seats. If it's not too insane, I'd like to save them a spot for when PJ's set starts.
I'm thinking the majority of my day will be spent up at the side stages and I'll be watching the bands on the main stage on Sunday when I have pavilion seats.
I'm also one who doesn't think there will be any need to call in the Wisconsin National Guard when the fences come down.
Really, though, if it is insane, I have no problem moving to higher ground. I'll still be able to hear the music and see the band on the big screens.0 -

It's somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000, the overwhelming majority of whom will be perfectly content to hang out in the spots they've been lounging in for the entire day.SPEEDY MCCREADY wrote:The lawn holds what?? 15-20K???? More????0 -
The ONLY people who would "Rush" to get closer to the stage??? Once the cage is taken down......
Are the people who will have already been sitting in the cage for 10 hours.....
hehehehehe
And thats the fucking truth.......
And we all know it!!!!!

My only worry about the lawn is that Alpine is going to oversell it to make up revenue lost by only having Pearl Jam and Jimmy Buffett playing there this season.___________________________________________

Unfortunately, I don't think the public demand is there for them to entertain the idea of overselling.0 -

You might be right on that. I will admit that has surprised me a bit. Before tickets went on sale I just assumed both shows would sell out easily.___________________________________________

I'm going with some other people that are not fan club so for my Saturday Lawn we will hang out where ever. We are also planning on hanging in the parking lot for a while grilling, playing bags and listerning to tunes. Did I mention drinking and smoking?0
-
if you go in early, and sit in the 10c cage all day to hold your seat, you will be missing some great music up on the side stages. i think if you are in lawn, you pretty much have to accept that you will be watching the main stage acts from the video screen......might as well roam around and take it all in and then grab any spot you can later.0

So.... Since Dimitris will be in the "cage" does this mean we CAN or CAN NOT feed the animals inside the cage?"Honesty will always be construed as negative to a dumbass"

I'm hoping there isn't a mad rush on Saturday once the "cage" goes down...I'm only 5'6" and people love to push in front of me like I'm not even there whenever I go to a GA event.

I might just hang out in the back on Saturday night, but we'll see what happens.Chicago 2000 : Chicago 2003 : Chicago 2006 : Summerfest 2006 : Lollapalooza 2007 : Chicago 2009 : Noblesville (Indy) 2010 : PJ20 (East Troy) 2011 : Wrigley Field 2013 : Milwaukee (Yield) 2014 : Wrigley Field 20160 -
