So the song wasn't played at any of the EV shows (unless I really missed something). Do you think they play this little gem at PJ20? I could see Eddie stripping it down and perhaps doing it with only a guitar. I really thought this song would become popular but maybe I'm just looking at it through my PJ colored glasses.

I like it a lot too and was hoping for it in RI or Boston. Maybe it will become like Who You are at Bonnaroo and get played at PJ20 in a different style.

I was surprised he didn't play it as well ... one of my favorites of his solo stuff (if it's technically solo)

It is probably my favorite eddie solo song, but there are so many things going on at once in it I think it is hard for him to play it and think it sounds good enough, even though it would be good enough for us

You may be right...too hard to play solo. Hope they break it out for PJ20.

Was anyone here at these shows?
  • Yeah, i was lucky enough to be at both shows.

    Was awesome.

Wasn't that big a fan of the song pre-show, but as per usual, hearing it live changes that (even with just Eddie singing it)

He also played it the first night in Melbourne and the first night in Adelaide... not sure if he played it in Perth. If I remember right, in Melbourne there were technical problems during ARC, so he played a few unplanned songs after that including Better Days. He and George went on a bit of a scavenger hunt onstage to find the lyrics. When that proved unsuccessful, he said something like, "I wrote the fucking song, I should be able to remember it".

He said he did all of the instruments for the song, and made a joke about how he hadn't come up with a way to play them all at once, so he had to use a backing track.

It would be really nice if Eddie can transform the song into a PJ song. I think the rest of the band is capable of handling it.

Saw it in Sydney and it was a highlight. The backing track let Ed really concentrate on his vocals which he nailed. It was miles ahead of the studio version. He really kicked the vocals up.
Said he needed the backing track because he wasn't Dr Octopus or something like that.
Really thought he would have pulled it out in the US as it was Fuckin amazing.
It is out there in the Blog world.

Saw him sing it in Melbourne.

It was the highlight of both concerts for me. Just watching him sitting on the stool and swaying to the music and really feeling the music. It was surreal. Something I will never forget...especially playing it straight after immortality.

So glad we got to see it and surprised he didnt play it on US tour.
Im so happy with my righteous self..

I heard it at Newcastle on March 16 and Sydney on March 19. I was never really a fan of this song until I heard Eddie sing it live solo. And those twirly arm movements he did in the middle of the song were great too. :)
