I was there, 15th row on the right. Matt Ripped it all night and the rest of the band sounded great too.

Small crowd and lots of empty seats. probably about 7,000 there total.

Big thanks to the Mohegan Security making the ahole right in front of me put away his smartphone. He was blocking my view of Matt.

Smartphone's have truely ruined the Concert Experience.

its not quantity of songs, it's quality. people are way to hung up on how many songs are played each night at a show

You're right. Im not a huge soundgarden fan but I enjoyed focusing on each member during the songs i didnt know.

If they played any longer, my head might have exploded.

Amazing show!!! Matt is so different with SG.. Much more dominant.. Not a PJ crowd but most were into it... Chris very appreciative

    Encore was dark and moody...fun!!

Midway up on the wing... Kim's side..

I think I might be starting to regret buying APC tickets over Soundgarden. Especially since APC is heavily favoring Emotive in their sets.

The poster was not fugly imo, My friend bought both the show specific one and the tour one. The tour one looks amazing up close, so much detail, it did not look that great from a distance, but damn.

Got tickets an hour before doors and got seats in section 15 Row E which was uh mindblowing.

The band was phenomenal, I was so happy I went. Matt Cameron re affirmed to me that he is a beast behind the kit. Jesus Christ Pose was an absolute highlight of the night. You don't get much in the way of showmanship out of Kim and Ben. Ben seemed really pissed the whole night? Bad luck at the casino games before the show? I just think it was the crowd, which was not very good. There was no reaction by the crowd when even when like Spoonman was played. After the main set, Ben just threw his bass onto the ground.

I was also surprised about how the band left the stage, Matt Cameron just peaced, finished Slaves and Bulldozers and just gtfoed, then Chris, then the sound outro by Kim and Ben, and not even a bow. I just expect that from seeing Pearl Jam a billion times.
    32 shows and counting...

Soundgarden's having trouble selling the two venues near me. Prudential Center sent out an e-mail this week about buy a Soundgarden ticket and get a NJ Devils ticket free. Jones Beach, you can see there's over 4000 seats still unsold on LiveNation (about a third of the venue's capacity). You'd probably be able to capitalize on the secondary market's misread on this one.

Great show. Hung with the band (sans Chris) after the show, all very nice guys, especially Matt, they were in great moods and ready for the Newark show. Good PJ discussions by all.

I ended up getting floor seats 16 rows from the stage dead center from the fan club, which I was psyched about. However, from my seats it sounded like the guitars were wayyyyy too high in the mix, to the point where it was really hard to hear Chris unless he was screaming or it was a slower song. And the guitars (mostly Kim's) were so loud that it just sounded like white noise.

Did anyone else have this problem? Maybe it was just where I was sitting, or maybe I'm just getting old.

Some songs were better than others, notably Fell on Black Days and Beyond the Wheel, which sounded great.

But unfortunately because of the sound issues, overall I really can't say that I enjoyed the show, which sucks because Chris is my favorite singer and Soundgarden is my favorite band besides PJ.

Ben seems to hate everyone and everything. He's one of those "I wanna be an anonymous punker" types who disdains the fans, and prior to the breakup would spit on them on occasion.

<---- Not a Ben fan. He's a good bassist with some songwriting talent, but he acts like the fans are the problem. We get it, man... you don't want to play "Black Hole Sun" every night for the rest of your life! But guess what... most of the real fans would take an evening of rare cuts and punk covers over "Spoonman", "BHS", and the rest of the radio fare.

Maybe I'm just bitter. I don't think the band would have collapsed but for Ben's constant negativity. I guess the good news is that PJ got Cameron out of the deal, though.
Is it too much to ask for a full-blown Temple of the Dog set? Probably.

If only I could afford to stay in Denver long enough to catch both shows, I'd love to. I'm surprised they are having such a difficult time selling tickets.

    2 questions :

    1. How did you meet with the band after the show? Did you have backstage passes ?

    2. How was the response for Coheed and Cambria? I know Matt is a huge fan and
judging from some of the newspaper articles they have been playing some great sets?

I could hear Chris, Ben and Matt just fine but for the life of me I couldn't hear any of Kim's solos. I was in the first section side stage right. Chris sings like Mick Jagger where he constantly changes the flow of the words, makes it hard to sing-a-long some times. He'll hold a note in word longer or shorter, I don't know if its because his voice isn't what it used to be, or what. I loved hearing Matt singing back up vocals, the interchange on The Day I Tried to Live is pretty fucking cool live.
