    Why dont u just can all these too... i mean, who the f are half these bands? i say someone should make an argument to keep any of these on the list. And, if by "Band" you mean, "The Band"..then u can keep them on the list... for now

    I assume it is The Band and they definitely should stay if so.....but I'm with you....I think those are good candidates for prompt elimination :D
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    You forgot 'low'! They were the first band I expected to go...

    It wasn't intended as a deifinite list, you know, I just threw in some oddities for fun. Mind you, on the "who the f are some of these anyway?" comment, I can only imagine that neu!, inspiral carpets, sebadoh and deus are not well known and respected groups, the rest are pretty much rock standards.

    The wedding present are my favourite band tied with pearl jam. David Gedge is probably in the top three British song writers still working, IMo he's in the top one :)

    And yes, Band was The Band, I didn't write 'the' for most groups.

    I think they blew the rock world up and they did it with genuinely great music. Great backing, three amazing guitarists and a front man who was inimitable.
