Any PJ song that you REALLY like singing?

I love singing (and playing the guitar). I don't know if I do it very well, but some people have told me I do. When it comes to Pearl Jam it's hard for me to choose a song that a feel comfortable singing with, though. For example, I love Man of The Hour but it's too low for me, on the other hand The Fixer is really to high.

I can say that the songs that do it for me and my vocal register are Low Light, Last Kiss, Black and Inside Job. And Off He Goes! specially the "and now he's home..." part, I couldn't love it more.

What about you, guys?

    I love singing Crazy Mary!
...And Black, of course. I also like singing Why Go if I have the lyrics in front of me...otherwise, it sounds like I'm just growling.
  • SO MANY SONGS! Haha but seriously, for most of their records I could belt out 3/4 of the songs at any given moment. But lately it's been Satan's Bed. ;)

Crazy Mary! I forgot about that. I love singing it, too.

And I'm gonna add another one: Worldwide Suicide, I just love doing Matt Cameron's backing parts!

Definitely Indifference. I used to have friends who, I'm sure they were blowing smoke up my tush, said that I sounded like I could be Eddie's sister when I sing PJ songs(that's a bit icky when I consider the thoughts I have about Eddie. I digress). Off He Goes is another favorite.

  • You name it, I sing it! I am a horrible singer but i just turn the volume up really loud and convince myself eddie's voice is my own! If i had to pick one, probably would be Breath. Fun song to sing!

I like singing some of the heavy stuff like Black Circle and Comatose. All of the classic live songs to sing in my opinion have been Release, Corduroy, Better Man, Given To Fly, Present Tense, and of course I can't help but feel goosebumps whenever singing Indifference.
Hi, I host a Pearl Jam Podcast. We go back to some of the classic shows in their history and break down the entire setlist front to back. From historic perspective, to performances, to setlist construction, to fan stories. We do our best to capture the magic that is their live act and help you relive those memories, or if you weren't there, maybe turn you on to a show you've never heard before.

Live On 4 Legs can be found on Apple Podcast, Spotify and any other major podcast platform. But please support our website and check out the episodes archived there. Oh, and the Concertpedia as well (for you Five Horizons and Two Feet Thick fans, we've picked up where they've left off)

  • Lately it's been "Push Me Pull Me", very hypnotic tune and great Jim Morrison'esque poetry from Ed.
