    three things I think:

if the Giants had ANY kind of offense, we could discuss them and the phils as being NL favorites. but, they don't :lolno:

I gotta admire jim riggleman....even tho he fucked the giants when managing the padres in 1993. he basically handed (another) division crown to the braves.

donnie baseball is not working out in LA. it was a stupid hire to begin with, hiring the carpet bagging right hand man of another carpet bagger. but since bud now owns the team, I don't see any changes. any discontent in LA, norm?
If I had known then what I know now...

    Vegas 93, Vegas 98, Vegas 00 (10 year show), Vegas 03, Vegas 06
    VIC 07
    EV LA1 08
    Seattle1 09, Seattle2 09, Salt Lake 09, LA4 09
    Columbus 10
    EV LA 11
    Vancouver 11
    Missoula 12
    Portland 13, Spokane 13
    St. Paul 14, Denver 14
    Philly I & II, 16
    Denver 22

there isn't a anyone, ANYONE that can do any better than what donnie has done with this team...we need a lf, 3b, 2b, catcher and a bullpen and another solid starter...donnie hasn't been given the chance to fuck it up because it already is fucked up...and the ownership situation hasn't helped at all...players realize that no matter what they do, all the holes won't be fixed and probably won't be for the foreseeable future

matt kemp is having a 40-40 mvp type season but it will be wasted because our bullpen can't hold a lead or their jocks for the reason

don't worry, the phils don't have any offense either. they have become the giants.

    could Vegas support a team....

The day Vegas gets a team is the day Pete Rose is their manager.

    :lol::lol::lol:

I always said no. our gasbag mayor thought they could but he's clueless. it would be a marlins situation. the NFL would be a totally different story. can you imagine fans of cold weather teams coming to party?

And the Dodgers are bankrupt. I was hoping McCourt was going to drive them completely into the ground and MLB would have to move the team to Montreal. :)

I've had a few buddies act like this bankruptcy is a big thing. I don't think so. Hell, the D-bags were bankrupt when they won the WS :x

like you, I wish Frank was still running the team (into the ground).

As much as I'd have loved to see the Brew Crew take out the Red Sox, I still have more friends that like the Yankees...please let this happen. Last time we matched up in 2005 there was almost a sweep after Dirty Doug Davis and Ben Sheets took the first two.

Josh Johnson going to see Andrews about his shoulder. That is not good at all. Shoulders are bad news.

Yeah, saw that. Looks like his season is probably lost at this point. Too bad for a guy with so much talent and just hitting his prime years.

The other story of interest I saw today is that Adam Dunn is seeking psychiatric help for his woes at the plate. I should do the same for drafting him #5 overall in our keeper league.

You need psychiatric help in general. ;)

Great story. Never knew this about him. I just figured he was a guy that never panned out.

Not to sound corny, but I really feel like baseball teaches a lot of good life lessons. Especially how to deal with failure. One of my coaches used to say you fail 7 out of 10 times and you're an all star...you better have thick skin if you want to play this game.

Jordan Zimmermann is gonna be really good. He reminds me of mike mussina. Not overpowering, just knows how to pitch

He kinda got lost in the shuffle, but was a big prospect before he had TJ surgery. It's great to see him settling in and having a solid year. Strasburg-Zimmermann-Lannan could develop into a solid base of a rotation.

Yeah, all the strasburg hype let him fly under the radar as he came back from TJ last year.

    John Lannan sucks
