I'm very much looking forward to the show in Montreal. Haven't been there since the Expos left but I'm sure it will be fun! In my house I actually have some shit that I "acquired" from my last trip to Olympic Stadium. Maybe a few pictures and such from some closed bars and clubs from the middle and upper decks of the Stadium that were "closed off" during their last season. Just a rumor though.

    I'm going! :)

Montreal, I'm staying for 2 nights (Sept 7th & 8th). First day, it's pretty much attending the pre-party/after party & show @ the Bell Centre. Next day will be enjoying the sites. The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is my favorite stop. And a stroll on Rue St. Catherine is a must. Might be hitting up With Temptation playing @ the Métropolis that night.

Toronto? There is so much to do. Four day's is not enough but planning what to do during these day's will be fun. Laura & I are organizing the Wishlist Foundation pre-parties @ the Loose Moose on Sept 11th & 12th. Two Pearl Jam show's @ the Air Canada. Then sweet after parties there after. There is the Toronto Film Festival happening. Really want to catch a few films but 1 will be good enough. ;) Orioles are in town from the 9th to 11th. Tempted to check one game. The Saturday afternoon game looks like the win. Will definitely be checking out the Hockey Hall of Fame. And also will be stopping by Greek Town.

    CAN'T WAIT!!!! :D:D:D

    Toronto

    ATTRACTIONS to Check Out:

My favorite attraction in the entire city is the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario). Spend an afternoon there. Trust me - it is an amazing experience.

    http://www.ago.net

Depending on the weather, a trip to Center Island would be a great way to spend the day before the show(s). Beaches, hiking trails, gardens

Shopping on Queen St. is a great experience as well. The Eaton Center is undergoing a lot of renovations, but all the stores are open, and there are some new ones in there.

    Restaurant's:

Right beside the ACC is the Real Sports Bar and Grill. This is one of my favorite places in the city!! It was voted the best Sports Bar in North America by ESPN. You have to make reservations to get in. Maple Bacon Mustard Chicken WIngs are amazing

A hidden gem of a restaurant is on Elm St. It's called Adega. A little pricey, but one of my fav's.

    I'll post more later.....

    Hiya,
I set up a facebook group last night for the discussion/arrangements of trains between gigs, trips (one to Niagara Falls is being planned for the 10th - I know many people have said not to bother, but seems I am flying over the pond I want to see as much as I can). It is called Pearl Jam Canada Tour 2011 - Trains and Things.
I can't link to it here as I am work and can't access facebook from my work network, but can do tonight.
All ideas gratefully received and we thought that people could post when they've booked trains or buses etc, and that others may wish to join them etc...
We did a similar thing last year between the Dublin and Belfast gigs and the train journey was great.

What D, you're not going to get a tour of the most famous dressing room in the NHL??? For Shame!

In all seriousness though... lots of fun things to do in Toronto. If you're into the shopping thing, Queen St West is the spot to go as someone already pointed out. The mall in North York is also very nice if you like upscale shopping without the crowds. If you're doing the touristy thing, the ROM (Royal Ontario Muesum) on Bloor street is also fantastic, and of course there's the Hockey Hall of Fame.

If your a huge music fan, look into the local scene, Toronto has so many fantastic bands it's amazing. And while crusing Queen St West stop into the Horseshoe Tavern at Queen and Spadina - it's the first bar the Rolling Stones ever played in in North America.... everyone has played there at some point in time or another (but chances are the area with the stage will be closed down during the day).
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

If I can find somebody to tag along with me interested in going & wouldn't mind wearing a Bruins shirt that Thursday, sure! :P

Well historically I have an issue of dehydration, so will have to make a point to drink water! :D
