If someone is pro-life, wouldn't it make sense that they give a mother's day gift to pregnant women on Mother's day?

He said thank you.
I wished my wife a happy mothers day when she was pregnant with our first son and gave her a present. She said thank you.0 -

Have you ever congratulated anyone on their pregnancy? If it's just a bunch of cells, then why congratulate someone? We don't congratulate people with tumors on their heads.
This is a dumb argument. Here's a new demo called "in the fire":

Expecting a baby and having a tumor are very different events.0 -
Doesn't make this a reasonable argument. This is a dumb argument.JOEJOEJOE wrote:inlet13 wrote:JOEJOEJOE wrote:If someone is pro-life, wouldn't it make sense that they give a mother's day gift to pregnant women on Mother's day?

Inlet - It's so dumb, yet you're in discussion.
And yes, having a baby and having a tumor are very different. I would say this is a weird thread, not dumb.0 -

It's a discussion board. I can claim an argument is dumb if I'd like. It is a dumb argument, not weird, dumb.
Talk abortion all you want,... do you really think you'll change someone's mind on the issue? Moreover, do you think this sort of argument adds anything to the debate? Here's a new demo called "in the fire":

Mothers Day and Fathers Day are both inventions of the greeting card industry.
I think they're stupid and mean nothing and I don't wish anyone either and don't acknowledge that they're real.0 -

I picture a small boy, stomping his feet and crossing his arms while insisting that he is allowed to claim anything he wants.0 -

That's about where I'm at JOE
Inlet, please tell me you won't be at the St. Louis show this Friday. You seem like someone who would shout out songs. "I paid for these tickets, I can shout songs if I want!"0 -

That didn't even make sense.
Anyway, this is still a dumb thread. Here's a new demo called "in the fire":

Oh, I was just trying to be on par with your logic.
But seriously, you aren't going to be in St Louis?0 -

I get what your saying, but my heart melted this year when I got a recorded card from my 3 year old saying "I love you daddy, Happy Father's day!". I play it every day.
So, manufactured or not, it sure made me feel good that day. Now, she does that a lot of days, but it does make it kinda special. She made sure that I got to pick everything that day, from where we ate to what she wore and what toys she would play with...because she said it was my day.
Oh, and yes I've wished Happy Father's/Mother's day to pregnant couples.hippiemom = goodness0 -
