So I guess the 10 club underestimated the demand for vinyl? Obviously you should have yours first if you pre-ordered it. They should have known how many were needed for the tour ahead of time, plus what was sold through fanclub. Unless the supplier couldnt keep up with production everyone should have it by now.
The 10 club has made it clear they dont want our business. Only because the product "Pearl Jam" is so great are they allowed to operate in this fashion. Most people are not going to quit the club because of the ticketing benefit. 10 club does not need to provide great service to stay in business. They do not have to provide newsletters, Xmas singles, "im analog" t-shirts with any urgency. They do not have to provide upgraded servers , clouds or whatever to simplify the ticketing meltdowns. Why? Because they know fans like me are going to renew like we have done every year.
What it really come down to in a business like 10 club is their managements idea of what to provide to its customers. To take pride in being the best and offering its fans the best. Even if its offering a chance for an autographed copy or limited fan club stickers with your pre-order. Why would 10 club members not be treated the best?
Of course there are always going to be those that say , "if you dont like it quit!" or want to kiss 10 clubs ass because they hope they will get better tickets to shows. Fact of the matter is, the 10 club is not performing at the same level as the band, I expect better.0 -

btw- the pressing plant screwed up, delaying the vinyl....we shipped what we had, mostly to our International customers since they always get stuff late, and sent a few copies on the road with the guy whose name is on the cover. I know. We Suck.0 -
SLH, im just basing this on a business perspective. If you guys could put out a monthly "thread" letting us know whats going on, delays, upgrades , things happening in the future most people would be understanding of delays and issues that arise. I mean, most "news" is posted several times before its "officially" announced by the band website.0

Why do they need to wait for more supply on preorders?? Our orders were in, they knew how many they needed from the supplier to fill our orders in a timely fashion. Simply put- the vinyls they ordered for us are being sold on the tour. That's just straight up stupidity right there. Why did they not also order a bunch more, in addition to our order number for selling at the shows, instead of taking ours to the shows and leaving us hanging? Ten club is messing up left and right to a point that they will be losing a great deal of members. I guarantee it. It's what happens when you put money ahead of customer service. Doesn't that represent, like, everything about big business that PJ claims to stand against?
Not cool man.
If only we knew the address of at least one of the guys so we could bombard them with letters to really make it crystal clear that this is unacceptable and they have a lot of upset fans.0 -

But i have yet to receive mine yet that i pre ordered back in april..?!
i thought that was the big hold up as to why we haven't recieved our orders yet, was because of the LP's. i live in the US, it's getting a little obsurd that i drop over 60 on an order and can't enjoy it.
which will come first NEXT years fan club single or my eddie uke songs order?
"PRESALE ITEMS ORDERED TOGETHER WILL SHIP TOGETHER. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF DIFFERENT RELEASE DATES."
We will begin shipping the remaining US vinyl orders which haven't shipped, EV songbooks, and the 7" when we receive stock from the manufacturer.
thanks for your patience,

i think we have been patient. as fans for many many years, i think we put up with alot that people who work for the band such as yourself take for granted. it's easy to just come out and say "we ship everything together" yea that was noted when placing the order, but had i known that the songbook would have been this delyaed i would have done hings differently. But atleast i am willing to admit it. The ten club on the other hand, just give off the vibe that you really do not care. And that to me is the issue.0 -
I also saw that Dave had one on Letterman the other night. I hope he preordered, or did he get special treatment too!

I don't think "you suck" for the record. But I do think some honest, open discussion about some of these issues is fair. For instance, why are we always left in the dark? An update from the get-go that the pressing plant screwed up would have been great. I think a lot of the complaints would have dropped off then. And I think the decision to send what you had overseas first is awesome - another great little thing you guys do to try and take care of people when things don't go as planned. I can't imagine having to wait that extra time for everything like the international folks do. But the point is, things aren't going as planned a lot lately (tickets, for example - and after watching that unfold here I'm almost thankful there wasn't a show within 2,000 miles of me this year). And we never get updates. We never get information. We pay money, then wait. And wait. And wait. I still firmly believe preorder should mean you receive first, no exceptions, but we can agree to disagree on that (with the vinyls being sent on tour instead of to preorders). But there's plenty of people around here - myself included - who are wearing thin on how drastically things have dropped off. The 10c doubled my membership fee this year (I know it was a choice - but for 1/2 the cost I got the exact same benefits in years prior) - but anyway, doubled the fee and I've literally received nothing that I've paid for except for the I'm Analog tee shirt. That's it. No newsletter. No single. No Uke songs vinly a month after the release date. I paid for goods and services that I haven't received. I think it's fair to have issues with that. I'm not name calling and demanding a sit down with the band and asking for the heads of the executives. But I do think as a paying customer, we're entitled to at least what we pay for, and maybe a little preferred treatment over non-club members - such as receving vinyl preorders before them. Loyalty should be rewarded, right?
And I think some honest, open discussion on some things would make a lot of folks feel much, much better. Just talking about things directly and keeping people in the know can really ease minds and tempers. The 10c should actually be flattered at all of this - we love this band, love their music do damn much, we're so emotionally invested that we go to great lenghts to get our hands on anything they offer. This band means the world to a lot of people and it's unfortunate to think that some issues with the fan club can sometimes take the focus away from what's really important here, and that's a mutual love for the music. Just keep us updated. We've paid hard earned dollars for stuff and just want what we pay for, or atleast want some more direct info about the status of what we pay for. This club had been great to me for many years. But I do think it's fair to say that as the prices have increased, the level of service has slipped. I can personally attest to that. I hope that somehow there can be some good, rational, mature discussion on this stuff - no tempers, no defensiveness. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for taking the time to listen to us vent.
PS - please play the south.

I read the small print and knew I wouldn't get everything on release day. I'm fine with that but now it's been a month and still nothing...not even an e-mail to explain what's going on. We have to go through threads on here to find answers. I agree that lack of communication has been a problem for quite some time.
My wife asks me the same question everytime this happens..."Why do you order from them again?"

Some thoughts on this...
1) Constructive criticism is good. After the last few months I think many of us have some concerns about the way things have been going.
2) There is no reason for personal attacks but also Santos there is no reason to be defensive and respond to those attacks. Ignore them and respond to the people who raised issues in a civil manner.
3) Preorders should have been filled first. I understand why vinyls were sent out on the road but in a sense you were taking products which had already been sold and sending them off to be sold again rather than be delivered to customers who had bought them in the first place. 10C has to understand why this would bother some members.
4) Trying to fill international orders first was a great idea and gesture.
5) Who buys vinyl at a concert? That seems to me to be the last thing I would want to carry around all night.

I haven't received my cd and songbook yet (I'm in L.A.), which is why I've pre-ordered the PJ20 book thru Amazon.
So annoyed with myself for pre-ordering thru the 10c, fully aware that it wasn't going out 'til mid-June :evil:0 -

The songbook hasn't been released yet thus the reason you haven't received your order. Read the fine print. Why would you preorder a cd anyway? You can get one anywhere.Member 164xxx

See that's what gets me, if they had an inkling the songbook was going to be delayed they should have said that like they did with the blu ray which I chose not to pre-order the blu ray from Ten Club.
They should have emailed everyone who had ordered the songbook and the vinyl and told them the songbook was going to be delayed and that they could separate the orders if you paid an additional cost for shipping.
But lack of communication runs rampant around here.
