Yeah i thought that with both bands tonight, all the instruments sounded a bit jumbled, i was about 2 thirds of the way back in the standing bit. Didn't ruin the show just not as perfect as the sound could have been. Was very loud too (i mean louder than most gigs), my ears are still ringing.

:( Mmmm. Ah well, I'll settle for a hug then. I'll try and console myself with stories that the sound was a bit crap at Wembley. Although I am still gutted. I should have been there.
And they opened with Long Road.

I was asking for you in the pub, today. I thought you were only pretending to be in South Korea to avoid the MTers. :D

You're right though, I'd have been slightly outnumbered by all those people I've upset over the past year. :D

Edit: Although in all fairness, If I thought that any fellow M.T'ers were on my tail I'd surely have told them that I was living in North Korea.

Me too :( I crazily almost flew over on Saturday night. It would have been $1000 bucks on the old credit card but well worth it.. Glad Helen got to see Long Road as an opener :) She said they were in the second row.

Yeah, but being in the South might scare 'em more. You've infiltrated free ground. ;)

This is true. I'm better equipped to ferment dissent here. :D
  • As far as sound goes, I think it all depends on how many shows you've heard, how many shows you've attended, and what speakers you're closest to. It sounds different everywhere in the venue.

So as the sound might "suck" in one place, it can seem quite heavenly in another.

If you've heard more than one (unofficial) bootleg of the same show, you can definitely tell the difference in echo, kick drum, bass, and so on.

I've been to Wembley once when the sound didn't suck, and that was to see the Cult in 1988 or 1989. There's a swimming pool underneath the place which is part of the listed building and which absorbs a lot of the sound giving the place the sound of a.....swimming pool.

Anybody knows why there wasn't a second Wembley date? They would have sold out that as well, wouldn't they?
