It's FINALLY here our annual everyday afternoon showers of rain. Especially since on Thursday I mowed 3 of our 5 acres and now it's turning from that brown dry look to that fresh moist sharp green look. It;s just beautiful.....it;s now time for me to build a garden to plant whatever we want...nothing like fresh herbs, love the smell of mint.

Everything will be alright.....I just put a friend on a plane back to her home country for possibly the last time. She seem resigned in saying goodbye to everyone and our state of Florida. It was very sad just 53 and saying goodbye....just too soon. :(

Gardens are so honest. I've been working in my backyard this week. I let the back go while keeping up on the front during school and it shows. In the summer, there's a lot of clean up that needs to be done. BUT, I love the way gardens are a reflection of what one does or doesn't do.
The rose bush I planted last year has flowers on it! The ferns I moved have thrived in the shadier spot. The blue flowers I planted are filling in one area. The pink bushes have also filled another area. The ugly old bamboo I chopped down has come back far nicer and greener. My grape vines have lots of grapes!
But gosh darn, there are a LOT of weeds to clear out and bushes that had to be trimmed. :shock:
