6/22 Beacon Theatre ~ Eddie touched my hand!

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right section of the forum.

Eddie touched my hand! OMG! I am on Cloud 9! We waited after the show for almost 2 hours, outside the Beacon Theatre. It was so worth it! I still can't believe what just happened. If you don't know already, I am painfully shy! Something came over me. Perhaps I was high off the weed from the guy behind us. I made a complete fool of myself. I put my hand out and Eddie went to gently shake my hand and it ended in kind of a hand-hug, with my clenched fingers squeezing his, not wanting to let go, lol. I was so star-struck. I just know I had that deer-in-the-headlights look. Then when he was onto the next person, I blurted out "Eddie, I'm pinkbutterfly from the forum". I can't believe I said that. I don't know if he heard me. Then, I wanted him to shake my husband's hand, so we went to the other side of the barricade, but Eddie was almost getting into a black SUV by that time.

The show was wonderful! Amazing! Awesome! One of the best nights of my life! I can't remember every song, as I'm still in shock. Although, I remember hearing Just Breathe, Longing to Belong, Off He Goes, Hard Sun, Without You...all sung so beautifully! And, what a surprise, when Ed Norton, the actor, joined Eddie in singing Guaranteed! And at one point, Eddie dedicated the song Satellite "to a beautiful woman named Lauri". That's all I heard. My heart started pounding. I turned to my husband and said "Did he just say Lauri?" Dennis (my DH), said "Lori and Damien". Well, in my fantasy world, I would like to think it was for me :D

Needless to say, I am so excited, I can't sleep!

    Holy shit dude! congrats. Jealous MUCH. Just enjoy it its a magic moment in your life. I wish he had come over to little ol Christchurch New Zealand. Oh well maybe one day.

    last time i shook his had they were really soft.....he must moisterize. he defiantely no longer has workmans hands. i figured they might be a little more callous because he is a professional musician but whatever.

    yeah, it is weak! like a womans handshake, and not just the soft hands. He needs to man up :o:lol:

    Wait what? It was not a weak handshake, more of a lingering hand-hold which I thought was awesome. I didn't want a firm handshake like when I'm a job interview anyway, f that sh*t. So to me, a weak handshake is when someone just sticks out their hand and leaves it hanging there without really reaching out to you, and you are forced to do this awkward cradling thing while their hand falls limp in yours. Gross. Worse yet when they are clammy. His was definitely softer than I expected, I expected his hands to have more texture. He definitely moisturizes, maybe he's been splurging on manis :mrgreen:

    Haha, Almost. I was definitely feeling his soul. :) I think he was feeling mine, too, when I gave him an extra squeeze. ;)
