The Beacon is affiliated with the Garden, and the Garden rarely has ticket drops for sold out shows. In other words, don't get your hopes up.0

For the Paul Simon shows which were similarly sold out and similarly in demand, there were no drops. I waited for hours at the box office. Nothing. I got in, however, by waiting patiently for a fan with an extra. There will be plenty of those tonight. The Beacon seems to sell however many seats it has.
I will still be checking constantly today, though. Maybe Ed means to release some for every show and it has nothing to do with the venue.0 -

I know the Springsteen camp is big on ticket drops, but they never happened for the MSG shows. It wouldn't surprise me if the tickets meant for drops are intercepted before they ever reach the public.0 -
I called the beacon yesterday hoping to score a single for a friend. She said they definitely had no extras to release online. Take it for what its worth. Yea, I'm not expecting anything. I'm glad I went the easy route and drove up to Hartford day of show just in case it's too hard to get in tonight. However, if Ed wants to release tickets, I feel like he of all people can.
But this is NYC, not Hartford, or Detroit, or Minneapolis. These tickets are in demand and worth a lot. If there are tickets available, there are people in between who probably aren't going to want to see them sold for 90 bucks. In another city, some balcony tickets won't even sell for face, but here there is so much demand that any extra tickets are going to be worth a lot.
If you want to get in tonight, get there early, like 4-4:30. Get on line at the box office door. There should be at least 10-30 people who get in tonight for face value through people with extra tickets whose friends bailed at the last minute.
And then there's always the chance of a ticket drop. Though for all the other ticket drops, they have been well before the show, so it doesn't seem like there will be one. Doesn't hurt to keep checking. I feel like ticket drops are because the band's tickets weren't used. I'm sure Eddie has more than enough friends to fill up the seats in this city.0 -

He can if he has seats allocated to his "friends/family" and then at the last minute releases them back to the venue and they in turn "drop" them at box office or web. Happens all the time!!SVRDhand13 wrote:yankeesmed wrote:However, if Ed wants to release tickets, I feel like he of all people can.

Right, but if all the tickets aren't accounted for, Ed might be one artist who has the influence and insistence to get them out to the fans rather than in the hands of greedy promoters or whoever else gobbles up extras and sells them for more than face. He's not superman, but he's been in the business long enough that he can smell bullshit. If he wants tickets to be released, maybe some will be released. It's happened at the Beacon before. That's why scalpers wait on line at the box office day of show just like fans, because it happens.
Again, though, I wouldn't count on it. Check TM if you have the time and don't do anything stupid like spend your paycheck on a ticket. Remember, he's playing a show tomorrow too and the whole band is playing an amazing concert in a few months that we all have tickets to.0 -
There are now ticket websites people/scalpers can subscribe to that email/text you when tickets get released, which makes it even harder to compete.0
