I have already saved 14 people from buying fake tickets. There are a lot of them out there. A lot of these tickets are Loge Row E and Lower and Upper Balcony Row E.
Watch out for Austin Green (Skinny black guy), Also Gregory / Gregorey Petterson, Emory Torres, Now Mark and Nick. Names will change! Phone numbers probably won't change are 347-744-6893 or 1508 818 4158 or 781-654-5109. A new number is 347-362-8534!
.
Someone should post this up on Ten club as well.
.
If you have been robbed by these low lives call the police. A few of you have written me asking. Just go to the police. I know it takes time, but people are getting screwed and you can help!
How do I tell if tickets are fakes?
• Best is the scratch test. TM tickets aren't printed with normal inks. The black that you see is actually burned (made by heat), not printed by the machine. Take your thumb fingernail and flick the ticket fast with force 2 or 3 times at corner. On a Real ticket, black scratch will appear. Fake ones will just look like white scratches, No Black.
• Do a name search or email search on facebook. A picture comes up, you might be good. No trace, not a good sign!
• Look closely at the recent ticket fonts. The forgers almost never get the font right, but they get close.
• Printer dots make different patterns too, usually you can see it on a fake.
• Recent TM tickets in NYC have a neon orange that's hard to print.
• How does a real ticket feel? Touch a few of your saved stubs from past shows. Fakes almost never get the same coating as a real ticket. This is a hard one though. The recent fakes I saw for Eddie Vedder were pretty close.
Be safe and careful out there! Always buy Hard copy tickets (not printout ticketfast) and make sure that the person you are buying from is the original buyer from TM or band presale!
Let's stick together and weed these scumbags out.

I just busted someone also. His email is <!-- e --><a href="mailto:n.salem@rocketmail.com">n.salem@rocketmail.com</a><!-- e -->
He claimed to have 4 for the EV Philly show in Orch Row AA - which is 1st row (behind the pit). I started asking him questions...figuring it had to be BS and he wanted payment via western union. I flagged his ad. Turns out he was offering tix all over craigslist in different cities for different shows. No time to be void or save up on life...you've got to spend it all.0 -

I was worried about my ticket after I read this but I found out that if you QUICKLY run a flame from a lighter on the face of the ticket it will turn black. I tried it on an old ticket and a huge black mark appeared quickly. I fine tuned the method so only a small black dot appeared and then tried in on my EV ticket on the side away from the bar code. It turned black so now I feel better. I think this is the best test as long as you're careful and dont turn the entire ticket black.
Good luck. How can people live with themselves? Bunch of scumbags out there.0 -

Not everyone feels the need to put pictures and information out on the internet for all to see. So just because you can't find a facebook page doesn't mean they are a scalper. They might not have a page, or they might have it locked down for only friends to see.0 -
I was scammed today as well. He said I could pick up tix at his office.....Universal Music. I googled his name and it came up as someone at Universal and the address was legit. He gave me number of a guy he said worked for the company to get in touch with since he was in LA and couldn't make the concert. I had two long conversations with him. Went to Hartford show with Fan Club tix and loved it so much, I wanted to go again. I spoke with the other guy and he said he would meet me. Since I was driving in from NJ and had to go back to work, I pulled up by building and he gave me tix. They are actually not tix, but VIP Media passes. My mistake was not going into building and making sure the guy was really an employee. When I tried to call both numbers back, one has a different name on voicemail all of the sudden and the music exec's is "temporarily out of service". I NEVER buy tix on Craigslist for this exact reason. I guess I was a little bit naive because I wanted some much for the tix to be real....which is really unlike me. Some people just suck! I e-mailed him and told him I will be filing a police report. I also work for a big company in the sports/entertainment industry and am working with our in-house law enforcement tomorrow to try to catch the bastard! Not only is he selling bogus tickets to good people, but he is pretending he is a real person.....which in my book is a form of identity theft. He screwed with the wrong person and fan.0

This same guy was going to sell me tix also! I did the same thing, Googled him and found someone I thought could be him. I have an email from him if it will help you with the police. I deliberately mentioned scams in my email reply to him and I think it freaked him out so he didn't get back to me after promising the tickets; I then called several times and the number was "out of service." These guys are such huge scumbags and it's really unfortunate. I also am totally bummed out about the "fans" who are charging substantially more than face. Just not good concert karma!0 -
I am really sorry to hear this... all you want to do is see a show, and there's an asshole out there waiting to screw you.
I hope they catch them...15 years of sharks 06/30/08 (MA), 05/17/10 (Boston), 09/03/11 (Alpine Valley), 09/04/11 (Alpine Valley), 09/30/12 (Missoula), 07/19/13 (Wrigley), 10/15/13 (Worcester), 10/16/13 (Worcester), 10/25/13 (Hartford), 12/4/13 (Vancouver), 12/6/13 (Seattle), 6/26/14 (Berlin), 6/28/14 (Stockholm), 10/16/14 (Detroit)0 -
Thanks Kato. I kept my e-mails from him as well. I have both phone numbers too. The group at my office will hopefully be able to trace the e-mail address to the user. Maybe if he gets the s**t scared out of him, he will stop being such a dick. My only concern is he knows where I work and can easily google my name to get my address. A little scary when you don't know who you are really dealing with. I should have just gone with my gut, but he sounded decent on the phone. You just never know.0
-
I was scammed three times. I have all differnt phone numbers, but the voice of the male sounds the same. Buyers beware. I suggest that we don't even try Craigslist at all.Underneath this smile lies everything...All my hopes, anger, pride and shame...make myself a pact, not to shut doors on the past just for today,... I am free.0
-
I am pretty sure this is another one to look out for: carlton bell (not 100% positive - my gut tells me something is up though). Says he has 4 for 175 each. Either way, enough of us have had problems that it's probably not worth the Craigslist route at this point.
Saddened but holding out a shred of hope for a ticket!Post edited by kato78 on0 -

This Universal angle with the LA twist sounds familiar, this may have happened on PJ tour last year. There was a long thread about someone who got scammed, not sure if that was the one though.0
