I have noticed by the state of the t-shirt I have, that its been 11 years since the Guys have visited Scotland.

In the intervening time I have visited Dublin twice & Manchester to see the Band. While all visits where excelent & the shows where amazing as always. Due to my life changing ie a mortgage & saving for a wedding. Our traveling to see the band away from Scotland have been curtailed.

I would like to know if the Band have any plans to travel to Scotland in the future?

Tell me about it had to travel to see them 9 times since the Glasgow gig in 2000.

The new 12,000 arena is opening in Glasgow in 2013 and looks the business so maybe then ?

My husband was born in Scotland and loves to go back and visit as much as possible. Hopefully, next time we are there, we will also be seeing PJ! :D

...saw PJ at the SECC in Glasgow in 2000 (right in the middle of my final uni exams) - it was awesome! :D - check out the bootleg, and it got played in full on PJ radio the other day.

Eddie and his ukulele did a solo version of "Soon Forget" - I think it'll be the closest Scotland (maybe even the UK) will ever get to a Eddie Vedder solo show

Didn't they also play Glasgow's famous "Cathouse" in 1992???

Yeah I got as far as the front door of that Cathouse show just before they closed it. There were quite a few who didn't get in. One board member, titchinello made it in though and had a photo taken with Ed. I had no idea I'd still be regretting missing the gig almost two decades later. I missed Glasgow 2000 because of work..... :x

there is a lack of suitable venues at the moment SECC is crap and maybe too small and the next step up is a stadium nothing in between

What about swapping a venue with a Scottish Festival? I mean, it maybe more likely?

dont think T in the Park is the right crowd, somethng like 1 day thing REM did a few years ago at Loch Lomond would be great

That was a great gig by R.E.M. in 2005. PJ would be amazing there too and they could draw a similar crowd with a decent support or two.

It was a great gig (apart from getting out) and your right PJ could draw a similar crowd

Every time I hear the name Scotland pronounced with too much emphasis on the "land" I think of Scott Thompson's old website Scottland.

Pearl Jam should play Scottland too.

    thats me :lol::lol::lol:
yes was a memorable day, and great seeing them in the begining, but only 1 other time since is not good enough.
we all know scotland isn't the only country suffering from this lack of visits to europe, so thats why next euro tour pj should take into great consideration all the places they haven't been to in a while, and make sure they stop in by.
and as far as scottish venues go, they say secc is a crap venue, maybe true, but its better than not at all, what about the clyde auditorium next door, never been there so i don't know what its like. damn they could even come up to aberdeen and play the AECC think it holds about 8500, which should be doable.

    we can dream.
