The band chose the acts and I trust their musical tastes.

Yeah I'm pumped for the Queens too. Oddly, I kinda had a gut feeling that they would be a part of this. Happy to see Mudhoney too. It wouldn't be a Pearl Jam festival without 'em.

Love PJ to death but honestly... id give the line up a

    D

Strokes is cool i guess... im not a huge queen of the stone age or mudhoney fan... and the rest of the line up is very EH after that IMO ... I def dont think its strong enough to get 30,000 people in the venue early or mid afternoon...

I think the problem was I had my expectations way to high for the rest of the line up... The way they said "Friends of the band" and past touring bands.... I immediately thought...

Ben Harper, Kings of Leon, Sound Garden i thought made sense... My Morning Jacket... Death Cab ... JAck Johnson wouldnt have shocked me... Im still holding out hope that Ben Harper pops up at some point over the weekend... I was kind of hoping Band of Horses maybe too but I know KOL and Band of Horses are touring together this summer...

But bottom line is ... im headed to ALPINE for 1 reason and 1 reason only... PEARL JAM so in the end I dont really care about the rest of the line up... but i still say GRADE - D

Considering I love 5 of the bands- A.

But I can see people giving a lot lower score. And I also did not set my hopes so high like so many people here do.

The problem with MMJ is that they deserve a long set- at least 2 hours.

i woulda been perfectly fine with that. honestly they coulda easily invited mmj and just had a lineup of mudhoney, mmj and pj for the main stage.

the strokes are good. not a fan of their new album, though. i couldn't care less about anyone else. this grade doesn't include the fact that pearl jam is (obviously) playing.

    C. I am thinking the OP meant lineup aside from Pearl Jam, so that's what I based my grade upon. I love the Strokes(always have), QOTSA are solid if not spectacular, and getting to see Mudhoney for the first time is definitely cool. Overall though, I guess my grade is based upon the fact that the rumours and hope made it seem like it'd be cooler. Either way, I'm excited to check out some new bands that PJ clearly enjoys and then get ready to enjoy the evening!

I dont think I have heard of any one of them but Mudhoney. I may be the only person that means it when I say I listen to one band and thats PJ. I never listen to music and I cant stand all the self promotion of most bands.

Because its "PJ20" and its only the one date id give it a C. Had higher hopes for SG and Uncle Neil. A billed appearance of TOTD and/or Mad Season w Mark Lanegan.

Queens w Lanegan would excite me more. Mudhoney and The Strokes are cool but Ive seen them mult times.

Would love to see John Doe and Star Anna
