Trick to sell ticketless tickets? HELP

I bought a ticket to the Black Keys show in Winnipeg July 2nd. Then my wife and I decided to buy Ed tickets for Minnie, same night. Bought em. Since then I've contacted TM through email to ask how to sell/get a refund for the Black Keys show, and their email back said "not all shows allow ticketexchange". So am I up shit's creek on this, taking a $70 wash for this? The floor is sold out. They could EASILY sell it again. Is there any way to get my money back on this?

tickets are generally non-refundable
Stubhub will take 20% or something, so be prepared for that, but if you want to dump the ticket to any hot show it'll be easy, especially if you just want to get back what you paid. I sold my Austin City Limits e-tickets in a half hour after I decided not to go, because my price was way cheaper than everyone else.
On the other hand, if you're trying to scalp them at 2x the price, that's a scumbag move and everyone agrees.
Stubhub also guarantees their tickets, so if you buy an e-ticket off Stubhub and it's invalid, they'll refund you.. although I've never had a bad ticket.
If they are will call..prob out of luck.

Sorry - I misunderstood.
If you're local, call the box office and see if you can pick up the ticket in advance. If so, pick it up, list it on Craigslist, bam!
If not, call the box office and see if you can transfer pickup to a different name... who knows, maybe you can work something out with them. Black Keys are super-hot right now, out here the tix were scalping over $100 a ticket (that's why I didn't see them in L.A.). Box Office is pretty much your only solution in this situation, maybe you can fax them a copy of the credit card or something to verify.
it's good in theory, but it has its flaws. these days tickets go on sale several MONTHS in advance of the show. to tell someone "this is a hot band, so it will probably sell out, so if you don't buy a ticket now, you are probably shit out of luck, so you have to spend $70 now, and if something in your life comes up, you are shit out of luck, even if you are a completely honest person" is stupid.
I totally understand that if they were flexible on a case-by-case basis, you'd have people getting a refund or transferring their tickets to someone else seemingly for face, but then you'd have them getting cash over face behind the scenes. They have this ticketexchange system is place just for that. If someone else buys it, you are off the hook. To offer it for some shows and not others is stupid.

the system does have flaws but at what expense is the general question. ie) how great are the flaws VS the benefits. this system is in place for hot shows for sections/venues that will sell out. it absolutely ensures there is no transference from ticket buyer to ticket end user. the main benefit that i see is this system shuts out scalpers 100%, and that to me is the most important issue at hand.
i've sat 8th row floors for bruce and the estreet and i only got those tickets because of this system. ticketless tickets always end up in the hands of the fans at list price. you gotta love that!
My wife had to go to the emergency room the day of MSG 2 08. I called TM, explained the situation, and my bud was able to pick up my tix no problem. They were hard tickets held at will call, not show your ID get a wrist band and enter the venue deal.
Of course, MMJ might have a different policy and they may be using a ticketless system to prevent scalping. That is why no ticket exchange is allowed. People resell for profit via that site. It makes sense that MMJ would use a system like that. PJ should do it to IMHO.
i absolutely agree and often wonder why PJ haven't figured it out...
yes, BUT if they did ticketexchange for all shows, it STILL eliminates scalpers. it's just reselling the ticket to someone else I don't know at face value, just as if TM were selling the ticket in the first place. so why would TM not offer this for ALL shows? if it's the admin fee, then fine, I'll sacrifice that, I don't care. All I really want is for SOMEONE to be able to enjoy the show in my absence. I'd even give it away if I could, but I can't!

i went to one last year where you had to swipe the credit card you used to buy the tickets to get inside- saw more than one person swipe their card then let in two other people- said they bought the tickets as a gift
i'm not sure how far apart the two venues are? maybe you can resell the tickets with the condition that the buyers arrive as early as they open the doors? then drive over to the EV show as fast as you can? hope that helps-
ok i over exaggerated a little bit, um maybe it's 99.2% then...
cause how many scalpers would go through the hassle that u have mentioned
not very many is my guess. less than 1%
no can do. black keys show is in winnipeg, EV show is in Minnie.
