At the end of the day Ticketmaster is stil VERY doggie to say the least. They are involved in all kinds of monopolistic/shady underhanded sh&t.
It must have really bothered the 10c to have to go down this road.. But it speaks to the deictaion they 10c have to making things right for the fans that they would ever do something like this.
I wasted 15 hours this week jacking around with f5, but i say screw ticketmaster because they are evil, every day they screw people with fees and skim off tickets for their subsidaries.
10c will find i way to make it work but i would guarantee it will not be with TM.
just my 2 cents..."thru extensive negotiations we managed to get the curfew moved back..... we still don't have any time to fu&k around...."

I would love 10C to be able to avoid TM if possible. But the sad reality is that the 10C ticket process has gotten progressively worse the last few years to the point of essentially being non-functional. I am stunned that anyone got tickets at all earlier in the week. Seriously, by the anecdotal evidence on the forum, I am guessing the failure rate was around 80-90% for 10C members trying to get tickets. That is absurd.
With that said, the TM 10C pre-sale seems to have been nearly flawless (although lets see what happens once we all get to our shows). So, if 10C can commit to a new, professional-level ticket system that can handle the traffic and test it thoroughly, then by all means keep the ticket sales in house. If not, then do the right thing for the 10C members, negotiate the best deal they can with TM or some other outfit, and let them do the 10C pre-sales. I appreciate the fight, but the bottom line is good results for us.0 -

A little different then though as it was a TM presale that only 10clubbers had access to, whereas this is basically TM facillitating the 10club presale, but 10club will allocate and distribute the tix in their normal fashion. So in 2004 the available seating wasdetermined by TM, fairly random and all over the venues and here the seating should be as in the past for 10club seats.Solat13 wrote:It really wasn't an experiment.
