Nice thanks for posting. Where is Alpine Valley Resort?
I see the golf course around the theatre.
I think it is pretty much behind the stage area.
check the google map link, i really hope we can walk straight from the resort to the theatre, maybe have to cross over the golf course at some point and dodge some tee shots, but it looks like there should be a way.
I hope there is a way. It’s going to be nice to not have to drive after either of the nights. The wife and I can both enjoy party favors and simply walk to our room.

my expectations of the resort are that if i feel like i'm in the middle of hot tub time machine then it's good. it's more about the location than the resort itself, it looks like a '70's ski resort in need of updating...oh wait that's exactly what it is.
I hope there is a way. It’s going to be nice to not have to drive after either of the nights. The wife and I can both enjoy party favors and simply walk to our room.
There is no way they are going to let people leave and re-enter even though it would be awesome. That owuld just lead to people being snuck in.

true, there is no exit/re-entry during the show, but i think we're just hoping to be able to walk directly to and from the resort before and after the show, instead of walking all the way up to highway D.
Anyone know what the little fenced in areas are that are to the right of the GA seating area? They almost look like private boxes or something like that. Any previous show goers know what these are?
From what I remember from the Ice bowl and a DMB concert, it is part of the GA area. The building that is towards the top of that area is beer and food. Anyone can stand in that area.

I'm sure we will find a way no matter what. I'm not walking 3 miles to something that is 200 yards away. hahahahahahahaha

i'm guessing at least $8 but expecting $10 or more, so i will be loading up in the hotel and tailgate in hopes that one or six in the show will carry the buzz.
based on some of the youtube clips i've seen with undercover cops roaming the parking lots and people getting arrested on the way into shows, i'd say no.

Some kind of private boxes/bars/VIP areas? Not sure who gets to use them, how you get tickets, or if that's what they are even for, but here's a pic of the venue and you can see some people standing in them: http://www.rowjimmyrow.com/Graphics/arena_05.jpg
I think that are part of the lawn, maybe there will be set the bottom of the 10C lawn area and the fences are up.
I dont get why quit the fences when PJ head the stage, that is the moment when they are useful, before nothing and no seems secure fences off

I'm thinking I might do the same. I wonder if you can get to the tailgaite area fromthe resort?
It seems as if you'll have to cross the golf course which is behind the theatre.
i am staying at the resort. it looks like there is a path, maybe even a golf cart path that goes directly from the hotel parking lot to the back of the stage area. i'm hoping that another path may break off from there and lead us to the expo center or something, so we can get there quicker.
Also, to everyone else.....remember people....there is a reason why both bands AND fans list this as one of their favorite venues to play/see a show.
Just relax and enjoy.
Great point! I've been to the Icebowl and the mud crisis of RATM & QOTSA and dozens of other shows here - each one was amazing for its own reasons. I took a girlfriend with me to Alpine for a show last summer, she'd never been there, and now she says that she doesn't want to go to any other venue to see a show! It's going to be a great weekend

It would probably be faster for me to go to the bathroom in my room at AVR than waiting to use the theater bathrooms

Is beer expensive at Alpine?

Are there actual bathrooms that we'll have access to if we DO NOT have expo passes?
