The mess is over - who's staying in Chicago?

A hotel more specifically. I'm at the Hyatt Downtown from Friday thru Tuesday. Let's get some PJ fans to meet up somewhere on Friday and possibly Monday. Let's get suggestions on bars going.....

Also, I'm assuming most people staying in hotels in Chicago are shuttling it both days?

    I live downtown, so I wont be staying at a hotel, but I am guessing you mean Hyatt Regency when you say downtown? Also I'd suggest the shuttle for you. I dont know what rental car prices are, but it will cost you $30-50 to park in your hotel PER day. plus gas, etc.

    Also, what kind of places are you interested in recs for? bars? clubs? dinner (what kind)? etc etc

    Born and bred Chicagoan, can give you too many places to hit up ;)

    I stay in Chicago from 28-8 till 12-9 and shuttle both days and would love to hit the town with the 10c members...Lets hook up the crowd and have fun... 8-)

    Hyatt Regency, yes. Shuttle both days. What about Haray Caray's??? I love the lovable Cubs!

    Hyatt prolly as well, probably Thu-Tue, hoping to catch a game @ wrigleyfield as well in the meantime :)

    It's a good tourist spot and they've got decent (and pricey) food... I'm a Sox fan, so I'll ignore that last comment 8-)

    Check out Hubbard St. at night (Rockit, Theory, Hub 51/Sub 51, Hubbard Inn, O'Callaghan's, Boss Bar) also Public House is the new IT spot (State and Kinzie just near Hubbard). The Roof at the Wit is good time too (State and Lake), but get there early to avoid a line and cover. The immediate area (River North) is generally pricey for drinks (ie $5 beers and $10 mixed drinks). There is also Big Bar in the Hyatt Regency which is a good time. You can also go to Rush street where there are tons of bars around Viagra Triangle (go and you will see why it has this nickname! ha!)

    As for food, I will stick to Steakhouses there are literally a million Steak joints nearby... Morton's, Gibson's (my personal fav), Keefers, Chicago Cut, Rosebud Prime, Smith & Willensky's, Sullivan's, Maestro's, Ruth Chris.... are just a few within 10 minute walk.

    Oh, and Chicago Pizza is a MUST! There's the tourist favs: Giordano's, Lou Malnatis, Pizzeria Uno/Due, Gino's East... but you can find more local spots if you want :)

    Depending on your age and 'style' (for lack of better term), you may want to head to the neighborhoods, each is unique. Bucker Park/Wicker Park are more 30-somethings and a little hipster, but also yuppified. Lincoln Park is college kids, younger 20-somethings, Wrigleyville is more of a shitshow, especially on game days, many tourists, suburbanites and drunk folk (good if you're in the mood for this!), Old Town is 30 something and classier (I suggest Benchmark and Old Town Social for bars). River North is where you go for a "Night Out", and is where many of the bars (listed above) and clubs are at. West Loop has tons and tons of restaurants (Chicago is a big foodie town)
