Hey team,

My friend and I are staying at the Hyatt in Milwaukee, downtown. Is anyone interested in renting a car and driving the two days instead of the shuttle? I understand parking costs, gas, and rental, but it may be cheaper to do all that than 4 or 5 people paying for a shuttle each day which would be $500 dollars total, ya know what i mean?

I'd be up for doing this. Staying at the Marriott Milwaukee West with my husband and we were thinking the same thing.

I may get a rental regardless, but no way im driving an hour after partying all day.
Priceline had compact rentals for like 15 a day.

It looks I may be staying in Milwaukee in the same areas mention, if we get enough people together maybe we could do the shuttle thing after all.

My brother and I will be staying in brookside, but we have a free shuttle to milwaukee. If a shuttle is organized, please let me know. My wife got us a good deal at the sheraton.

I'm definitely on board to do a shuttle...especially to avoid the whole parking mess. Otherwise if anyone wants to share a car I'm fine with being DD. I don't usually drink at shows anyone, but especially not if it's a port-a-potty situation. :?

My friend and I (and possibly his wife) are staying at the Marriott Milwaukee West and up for some form of group transport to help reduce our travel costs to and from the venue.

hi! I am reserved at a craphole hotel near Alpine itself, but it's ridiculously expensive, so I am also reserved at the Marriott Milwaukee West. I would be all for pitching in to get a shuttle and it sounds like numbers would probably be there.. is someone researching this or what are next steps that I can be helpful on?? This would be great!

Well I don't know what counts as a shuttle- I was thinking just a large car, seeing how many people replied to this- like an SUV- if we had 6 people to split this cost itd be cheap.
My friend and I do not drink so I have no problem being DD, especially if I am the one renting the car- I will look into prices today and repost what I find.

    UPDATE!
Some background info-I work for Hyatt and am staying at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee which is like one block from an Avis location, where I get a discount as an employee..
Here is the address of my hotel: 333 West Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA 53203, for proximity purposes.
My friend and I are flying in separately on Friday afternonn/evening- me from the NYC area, likely LGA, and he from Providence, RI.
My friend and I did not get expo tickets so we will likely be showing up a few hours before PJ and then going home after they finish, we are not there to see EVERY band, probably QOTSA, strokes, and one or two others.

If I were to pick up a car from Avis on Saturday morning-ish, a minivan, which holds 7 people is $175 to be returned to the MKE airport on Monday morning. This price does not include any insurance, which I would likely do.
Insurance would cost at most $60, so say the total is $33 each for 7 people, hotel parking per night is $23, so a total of like $40 per person BUT I do not know what the parking at the venue costs, does anyone know?

So if you are interested in this plan please message me directly, since I will be renting, I will be driving, leaving from my hotel.

We have 2 (from DC and CT), looking at using Marriott points which pushes us out to the Brookfield area probably. Would be interested in sharing rental car (would pay extra for DD option) or shuttle for sure.
