I have been in the Club since 1994 and I have never had harsh words with another member. Also, I have GIVEN tickets to other members when things weren't going so well. Look it up here. I certainly and no one else here deserves to be called a clown.0 -
ALPINE ONSALE UPDATE Our IT brains are still working diligently to rectify the Alpine ticketing situation. There are currently some people who already had items in their carts and who are able to continue the checkout process, very slowly. Here's what we're going to do: -- Those who were already in the check-out process, stick with us and we're going to try to process your order. -- Those who aren't already, give it a rest tonight so we can get those who are officially in the middle of the check-out process checked out and work on the site. -- We are going to close the store tonight to ANY NEW TICKET ORDERS in order to work on the system for tomorrow. -- At 8am PT tomorrow morning, we will post on the Ten Club "news" section information regarding when the Alpine ticket sale will resume. -- If it's still not working at 8am PT, we will say that. -- If it's working at 8am PT, we'll provide a time for when the onsale will resume, which be AT LEAST TWO HOURS later, so that everyone has time to prepare. --The good news is, there are PLENTY of tickets still available. CANADA ON-SALE POSTPONED TO WEDNESDAY Due to the problems surrounding today's Alpine pre-sale, the Ten Club is going to postpone the Canada Pre-sale to Wednesday May 25th (during the same hours as previously scheduled) to help ensure all systems are up and running smoothly. Once again, we're really sorry this happened and will do everything we can to fix it as soon as possible.I am lost, I'm no guide, but I'm by your side0

Exactly. This is why I would be very upset if they cancelled all the tickets as OP suggests. I didn't get the tickets into my cart after the store shut down. They were there almost immediately after the sale started. It took 4.5 hours of refreshing, clicking, waiting, filling out payment info, and starting over in order to get it finished.0 -

Cancelling tickets would cause bigger problems for the Ten Club. Keep in mind that 95% of the tickets still probably exist. Most people who were able to get tickets were people who had tickets in their carts when the sale started, then the system crashed. Those people deserve to be able to get their tickets and the Ten Club will do the right thing by honoring those who already have tickets, spending tonight processing orders for people who were almost through the order process before the crash, and getting things stabalized before trying again tomorrow.1998 - Noblesville * Knoxville

eh they'll do what they'll do. I decided a while back that I'd try for tix through 10c...and if I didn't get them I'd try through TM...and if I didn't get them I'd go to Aruba. So if they cancel any orders I'm going to Aruba. It's win-win
You choose what you'll let bother you. Today was annoying, but it was an annoying pre-sale for festival tix. Nothing more. If this is the worst thing that happens in my life, I'm having a pretty good life

Yep - me too. Had them in my cart immediately at 1pm...got all the way to entering my shipping/billing address and then kept getting kicked out and refreshing that page. Glad they're helping people get through the checkout process. But again...there's always arubaThe P.T. wrote:Kevinman wrote:There are currently some people who already had items in their carts and who are able to continue the checkout process, very slowly. Tru dat. Thank you for the perspective. I had my shit together until an hour ago, I think it's because I'm hungry and cranky and there are all these people saying that 10C should cancel tickets; tickets that I spent a long time refreshing to get when I didn't know the goods site was down because I was too busy refreshing to check the boards!!!
If they cancel my tickets I'm going to the US Open on Labour Day weekend. Which I already have tickets for (TAKE THAT NO ONE IN PARTICULAR!!!)

Yep I didn't know it was down either! My husband told me and I was thinking "how? I just got them"Suziemay wrote:comebackgirl wrote:eh they'll do what they'll do. They won't be canceled. I think the last 10c post made it clear that they want to help people process through the check out if they have tix in their carts. I understand everyone's frustration though. This wasn't exactly how I wanted to spend my day. But it's all perspective. See you in Wisconsin!

you are bitching because you didn't get tickets. i understand your pain. i got shut out of both nights of eddie at the beacon and it was frustrating. but the process was not rigged. people understand that the quickest way between two points is a straight line. instead of refreshing the tickets page, we were refreshing the buy button page. that's just the smart thing to do. cut right to the chase. just because someone had better strategy doesn't mean they deserve to have their tickets cancelled.DS1119 wrote:snipes824 wrote:

again, i feel your pain. i hate getting shut out of tickets. it's the only reason i'm in the club. but to call for others' tickets to be cancelled because they smartly used the right ticket buying strategy is a little petty.0 -

Thanks for your quick analysis but you don't know me and I don't know you. I'm not bitter and I'm sure I will get them tomorrow...and if not I'll buy somewhere else. A member who started at 6:00 should not have the ability to keep those tix. All I'm saying. Maybe I'll see you at the festival and buy you a beer.0 -

THIS!RITFWinCO wrote:Well for the past 7 hours there have been multiple posts with people proclaiming they got through and "just stick with it hitting refresh" and telling you about the link. There were post topic headlines that even said "Store is not offline" or something to that effect (search for it).
And during that whole 7 hour period from 3PM EST until now, not once did any 10C moderator shut it down. If it was not legit, I am willing to bet there would have been a few things like (1) an annoucement to this effect (2) locked threads and /or (3) simply shutting things down.
On probbaly the biggest day of the site, you can think the moderators weren't watching the threads for the past few hours. They could easily have said, not so fast...0 -
sounds like sour grapes to me

I had made the important shortcuts to the goods page, main tickets page, cart and checkout hours before the sale to help speed things up if at all possible.
In the end i had to give up and go to work, but sent those same links to myself, and added the specific ticket page as well 8-)
It is not hacking, it is using valid links to work around the front entry 8-) These were available to all, so cancelling them is not the answer2003 - Sydney x3,2006 - Reading Festival,2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,2010 - I watched it go to fire!2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3
