I had an idea for a cool contest they could do "just for us" - they could do a contest where each 10C member gets to vote on one song they absolutely want to hear played at the festival and then the band plays the top three (one each night of the festival)... would be a chance to hear some really rare song we've all been craving :)

Brilliant idea my friend! :D Let's start it here: my song is: Leatherman

    What about yours?

tshirt, and the band play every song on
every album then they play them all again acoustic,

Well - I've been lucky in that the two concerts I've been to, I've been able to hear some of my favourite "rares" (Of the Girl, Hard to Imagine, Leatherman - as well as Driftin', Sugar Mountain and Needle & the Damage done as Acoustic Eddie presets/openings)

I would say that the top three songs that I haven't heard yet are not all that "rare" to be honest and I probably wouldn't vote for them as I'll hear them soon enough (Long Road, Indifference & In Hiding) (I just haven't met them yet ;))

But of the "rare" songs I would like to hear, "You've Got to hide your love Away" would be tops for my vote...

The email w the Pj20 teaser said "this is your year", so who knows? Maybe they will do some sort of contest for 10c members...

Or maybe, just maybe, they'll think that it's enough to go to the extreme trouble of putting on Pearl Jam's very own festival weekend just for the PJ fans, make it reasonably priced and include a few other amazing musical acts as well to sweeten the deal. Maybe, and bear with me here because it's *luuuuunacy*, but maaaaybe the band thinks it's enough of a gift to make this event happen, play some unbelievably awesome sets and bring all the jammers together for their very own first-ever festival event.

Perhaps the idea doesn't sit very well of adding tens of thousands of dollars' worth of freebies to the pot, which will only encourage controversy, all-time saddest sob stories and, of course, elitism among entitlement-ridden superfans who believe they deserve a 1-5th row seat to every single show they go to.

That tends to be my theory, but hell, looks like we'll find out soon enough.

Relax, just putting in my 2 cents, which ate clearly different than yours lol. I have no sense of entitlement, I've seen them front row once back in 96 ga because I fought my way up there. If I'm lucky enough to score a lawn seat, I'll take it, never mind everything else it will take to be able to go. Just tryin to have some fun w the speculations, its all in good fun :-)

I just don't see why it would not be possible for PJ to run a small comp for tickets to PJ20. Maybe not flights, accom etc but why not. They will not have to pay for it personally, it will be a commercial thing, via a company or something. They could make it quiet difficult too, and for only a few people, but it is very very possible and not unusual at all.

    I'm in... big time.
