some time in February i made just in case hotel reservations for PJ20. i accidentally deleted my confirmation email and no longer have access to it. the problem is i don't remember the name of the hotel, i tried finding something close to alpine valley and made it for the weekend before labor day so i might need to cancel. i would be stuck with some crazy fee for not showing up for my reservations and not canceling in advance...anything i can do? i have already called 3 hotels i thought i made the reservations at but they all said i didn't.

maybe you search in net about hotels around the area, incase you remember the hotel name,?make some calls at hotels in Alipine??did they charge your card already,so ask your bank?

  • you could try emailing hotmail support team or whoever your emails are with incase they can retrieve it.

+1 on the bank charge. If they charged your bank or CC the name of the hotel or at least a phone number should be on your statement.
  • bank charge is a good idea, thanks. i tried that earlier and nothing shows up. tried multiple times...i guess it will once it's charged haha.. maybe they keep your info and you don't get charged until the reservation date is what im assuming..

Usually they don't charge your card until check out or no show. You didn't brag about booking a hotel on the forum somewhere? Hehe, I did :) and I printed my conf page just in case.
How long has it been since you deleted your cookies or your history? Try a search on that?

Hope you figure it out. :)

How many hotels are actually around Alpine..? I'd rather spend all day calling every one of them before getting stuck with a cancellation fee.

Did you happen to use travelocity, expedia, orbitz? Something like that? If you did then you should be able to log in and look up reservations that way.

    Good luck!!

Yeah, if you paid with a credit card it will be easy to find out. Just check your CC statement.

yea most hotels don't charge til you don't show up

I would call the 1-800 #'s on every chain in the area and ask ... you might even be able to do some of that on their websites. You can access reservation with your name and last 4 digits of the cc most times
Call all the independent hotels too... or most might have websites too.

live and learn.. I'm sorry .... dragsville

I've gotten to joining the hotel clubs. You get points for each stay and all your reservations are
kept in your account history. They also treat a person even nicer when you stay :D

    Good luck... keep trying

haha no i didnt brag but i remember booking the same one as someone who mentioned something about making sure you pay an extra $20 and that way you won't get stuck with a cancellation fee. It was relatively cheap compared to some of the other places i've seen. I have looked around a lot so there are quite a few places saved..i think i will call around..how many hotels are even within 30 miles right..im sure i booked one within 15 miles or something like that..

Maybe it's where I am, Baymont in Waterford? It was $20 more to reserve a room w/out a cx fee. It was wicked cheap, and 14 miles away.

Even though there is no actual charge on credit cards, there is usually a "hold amount."

It's usually something like $1.00, but that should allow you to figure it out.

Either that or cancel your credit card

Could always do that. If the card wasn't charged yet. First though call up the CC company. Freeze the account so that no other transaction from this day forward will be charged. You'll get a new CC & all. I had to do this because of the whole PlayStation Network security breach.
