No! Last time they "took their time" they made Avocado. Good album but pretty sure the guys all said they were never gonna take their time again. Mike said recently that they were going into the studio in late April and hoped to have a record finished in May. If that happens we can all look forward to a new album in the fall! I like getting a new record every 2 years!

They took their time betwen RA and Avacado but that doesn't mean they spent enough time working on Avacado to make it a better album. 8-) Mike has also said there would be an EP of unreleased Avacado material before saying there would be an EP of unreleased Backspacer material.

f that... i don't wanna wait another year and a half! :x
I meant the last part of the statement, not the waiting til 2013 bit ;):lol::lol::lol::lol:
Totally, if they can give us something different, i'll take it next week. I'd just rather wait for something great than get something average soon... I need something with the depth of a yield or a binaural- those albums were like onions to me, layer after layer after layer. Still listen to those albums and notice somethings I've never noticed before... Dont get me wrong, I like Backspacer for what it is, but PJ is better than that...
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...

I'd love for them to make a full blown psychedelic album.

I think their next album will be a gospel album

  • Psychadelic? Gospel?
    Sounds like the polyphonic spree.

I know what their next album will be. Kick ass double concept album about a band who live under the sea and their world is destroyed by pollution, so they are forced to crawl out and live on the land. It's gonna rock.
we're all going to the same place...
